    I love Barbra Streisand. Her career in music, movies, and her activism for the people
    has always been a mark of a courageous and talented women. Her position on the oil
    spill in the Gulf is clear and powerful. It was the Republican administrations that let regulations go so that the big corporations like BP could save a few dollars and cause
    a natural disaster of the first magnitude.

    You know Barbra is effective when John McCain joked about her on Saturday Night Live.
    He proceeded to pick a sad joke as his Vice President.

    Robert Reich is one of the leading scholars in the world. There is no better time to enact health care reform than today. It is a shame that politics would stand in the way of moving forward in getting our citizens access to affordable health insurance and medical care.
    The Republicans passed two huge tax cuts under Bush using reconciliation and now more than ever that process is needed to bring this historic legistlation to fruition.

    This article got it right on the head. With a majority in both the Senate and House the Democrats showed no spine, no guts, and no results. The Republcans showed they
    can criticize, distort, and attack....but not govern.

    There is real anger in the land. Much of it is due to the inability of the Democrats to
    frame the narrative in understandable terms. Sarah Palin uttered two word---death panel---and framed the health care debate. The Democrats have yet to explain in simple terms what their plan is and how it benefits us.Read more »
