Something to remember here:
It was Donald Rumsfeld, George Bush jrs. defense secretary, who, under Ronald Reagan, gave Saddam Hussein, weapons-of-mass destruction, with which he then murdered over a million Iranians, and hundreds of thousands of his own people.
And right after that, he had his photo taken with Saddam Hussein, shaking hands and smiling for the camera.
How could we be so blind as to let this man and his Presidents (Reagan,and both Bushes) continue with this madness?Read more »

Though this is unrelated to the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement, I'd like permission to call attention to the Trayvon Martin case here, please:
What happened to young Trayvon represents the very worse in Conservative thought, and shows what dangerous crackpots some of these 'tea parties' activists are, especially the ones of the extremist wing of the NRA.
Sadly, what's being overlooked is the culpability of the NRA in getting the Florida legislature to pass this heinous 'Stand Your Ground' law.Read more »

With Pesach (Passover) arriving, we should remember that this heinous 'Stand Your Ground' law which Conservatives, with pressure from the NRA, passed through the Florida legislature, is so similiar to what happened to Jews in Nazi Germany:
It was common practice then to accost Jews in the streets in Germany, in many cases murder them outrightly, and then for the police to refuse to arrest the perpetrators.
That is a darn good example of just how bad is this law, and how bogus the Conservatives' claim is of protecting the U.S. Constitution.Read more »
