Ms. Streisand is correct. Republicans were also on the wrong side of the civil rights movement, Medicare, Social Security, just to mention a few struggles. As for the suggestion that she is lacking in credibility because she is a wealthy "Hollywood" star and because she doesn't "work" enough, that is so silly I am not sure where to begin.Read more »

Congratulations on this amazing achievement and thanks for bringing such joy to the way we are, today! You are now the voice that spanned two centuries and, of course, you will be cherished, studied and revered beyond our present times.

I have to say, though, you really need to stop with this perfectionism. It keeps leading to....perfection! The new recording makes it sound like you are in my living room, with a very nice group of musician friends.Read more »

So interesting to go looking for the secret to Ms. Streisand's singing. The secret, I say, is in the soul. And it is very clear what this soul is about! Determination, pushing aside barriers, jumping over barriers, living, reaching, soaring, flying......singing.

I do hope she had an enjoyable evening. Wish I could have been there. Glad we are in the world together.
