This was a great review by Paul Katz. This album is stunning and clearly a must-have for Barbra fans, but really, any fan of contemporary American music. The span of this music (nearly 50 years) is staggering and represents not only Barbra's own personal musical journey, but that of American music, in general. I can't wait for volumes 2 & 3. Oh, to have a week (a month!) alone in that vault - truly a 'kid-in-a-candy-store' dream. Congrats to Barbra on another fabulous album, and a simply fantastic year. 70 never looked better.
