Will Barbra ever tour again?
I have never had the opportunity to see Barbra in concert. I would love it if she would consider (1) more tour. Especially to San Antonio, Texas, or anywhere in Texas.

With Barbra you never know.
I've learned within my last 38 years of being a fan, that whenever I thought that I now understand how she ticks, she does exactly the opposite.
So, there is always hope.

But I believe that she will make a concert like ''New Year's Eve'' concerts.
I'll say no, although even Ms. Streisand may not know the answer to that question. Here's my reasoning. Her latest recording is a tour-de-force tailor made for a tour of small clubs. It's November. The Village performance was in September. She is not touring small clubs such as Anthology in San Diego (hint, hint).
The Village brought things full circle for her, as she said at the concert. To tour would break that circle.
And she likes being in her incredible compound above the Pacific, and stealing off to other places on occasion (I guess).
I don't think she will retire exactly. But she will wait for an occasion when the spirit moves her. After the Vanguard and making that perfect circle, it is hard to imagine an occasion that would move her to disrupt that symmetry.
I hope she does tour again. Especially since I never got to see her in person. Ouch! But if I had done 45 gazillion albums, won every award in the book and found great companionship later in life, I might be very tempted to rest on my many, many laurels.
But then, I am not Barbra Streisand. Extraordinary people express themselves in the most unexpected ways and in the most unexpected places.

I can't imagine another big tour from Barbra, but maybe she would consider a select few shows in a few countries at some point, but I reckon the big tours are behind her now. She enjoys resting and watching the ocean and enjoying her plants, I say enjoy Barbra, life is for living and we have the new album and the upcoming DVD to keep us happy
Another tour would be a dream come true for me. I'm 19 and I've been a fan for a year now. But I mean : A FAN. All my then-favorite artists suddenly became.. drab. I'm from Montreal and she performed here in 2006 !!! And you can't imagine how the thought that I missed that makes me want to cry. I just want to see her live once in my life ! That would mean the world to me. So I don't really care if it's a tour, or just a few concerts : I'll be there. And while I'm hoping for that to happen, I'll just watch her DVDs over and over again.
Please Ms. Streisand, you're THE freaking BEST ! Share it with the world one more time.. <3

I heard that since Barbra Streisand is not taking the job in Vegas she will be doing a summer 2010 tour instead. Does anyone know if this is true? Seeing Barbra Streisand in concert would be a dream come true to say the least!
No, She will not tour. If she does anything, she'll finally direct the movie she needs to make, whatever her choice, and not star in it. I think it's possible she may play 2-8 single night club performances singing mainly songs from LOVE IS THE ANSWER. If that counts as a possible tour, so be it. She'll perhaps do a political benefit or two, and one day she may do a couple of arena performances. But if she were to perform live, she would more likely pick vastly smaller venues thant, say Madison Sq Garden. She's smart. She knows her voice, still sublime and exquisite, is changing, in decline some would say, meaning her range has ebbed as has the strength of her sound. Her sting instrument has transitioned into a reed, still lush and richer than ever, just a different sound.Nightclub environments would better serve her as a singer, than huge arenas.

she might perform at night clubs

she said in quite a few interviews she does not like singing the same songs all the time
Naturally I wish she would - I've only had the honor of seeing her in concert twice. However, I think the best forum for her would have been Las Vegas. She does not like to tour and no one who puts as much into a performance as Ms. Streisand does can possibly perform every night for two (or more) weeks. A "one night a month" in Vegas would be the perfect answer.
I exactly i can't say what she will do or not but most she should keep continuing her concert journey around the world.
Her most of the fans are in the uk and usa. IF in near future she is organizing any tour to usa of any city then uk fans can use the southalltravel.co.uk travel company for dealing flights booking, hotel and accomodation. This has around 25 years of experience in the travel industry.
I agree that her singing glows with a tone so luxurious and a texture so rich, you nearly want to burst into song yourself.Barbra continuously makes shows, so definitely you will get a chance to enjoy her live shows.

I like the idea of small club performances, I was a little too young to see her in the clubs in the 60's, but what a treat it would be to have her in that type of venue again.
It's nice, cozy and intimate for her fans, and I am really appreciating that type of music.
I love songs like "Lover come back to me". I listened to it from the 60's and then I listened to her version on the "Timeless" audio with all the brass and it was simply awesome. Her voice was more mature and full of something that just comes from having life experiences- and it just makes you feel good inside. People just want to feel good again, But I think that if she does that she should have a night for the big stars then the other nights for regular people so they can experience Barbra too.
Just a thought, but even if she doesnt do anything anymore she's given me enough.
I'm an artist and I have always painted with her music on for years, and when I dont have her music on the painting comes out wack! It's true- when I dont have her music going it's like i'm not inspired, but when it's on in the background my art comes out awesome- maybe it's the idea of knowing how dedicated she is to her best in her work makes me motivated to pull the best out of me too. BTW, I love this site, guess you can tell by all my postings.
I have e a been lucky enough to see Barbra in concert twice!!, the first time in Atlantic City 2006, and the other in London at The O2 in 2007.
Lets hope she will do another concert, price would never be an issue I would pay top dollar no matter what, I have been a fan for 34 years and I would love to go to another concert of hers as she gives a first class performance and most of the money goes to her worthy causes lets keep our fingers crossed maybe 2011 or 12 !!!!!
