Based on this song LITA will go to #1. Period. It's *heaven*. Just listened on a Bose headset, the quality is so good it felt like I was in the sound booth while she was recording it.

That was really amazing. I have cills like I haven't had from a Barbra recording in a long time. It's so personal, you reallly do feel like you're there with her. Do we really have to wait another month?! Just release it already!!!
Oddly enough the wait, the sweet anticipation, is sort of fun for me. I hope there's no more full songs released though, but I do want as many people to hear this track as possible!

This recording is absolute heaven, divine bliss...I too felt like I was listening to Barbra in the recording booth. No one today can interpret a song like her. The day LITA is released, it will hit #1, without a shred of doubt in my mind. This is Barbra at her best!

I had the biggest smile on my face hearing this song. WOW!!! Barbra sounds amazing and the way she tells a story, no one but no one can touch her. In a month when Whitney, Mariah and Madonna all hit the shelves, Barbra will indeed stand out with a CD full of emotion, warmth and love and with a voice that simply cannot be matched.
That song makes me so hungry for the full album
I am a singer using Estill Voice Training, which is a pretty clear way of training, means there are no myths about singing technique. I am just telling you that, because i must say it is absolut amazing how perfect that voice is!!
It is almost unreal that at 67 there is no wobble in her vibrato or anything like it. It is not to be believed.
But of course there is more to Barbra than just perfect singing technique. It is hard to define, why that voice touches you so deeply.. Maybe it is because she is so sensitive to her art and i really believe that she just wants to give a song the best singing and interpretation there is.
And boy, how she gets it!!

Udon, you are so right! I was listening to a man sing last night in a club--a really accomplished singer who is only about 48 and he already has that "elderly" sounding wobble in his vibrato. That sound afflicted Rosemary Clooney, Sinatra, and even the great Ella Fitzgerald by the time they were Barbra's age. She has none of it, and still sounds 35. Fantastic, like so many aspects of her life and career. I can't wait for LITA!
