I'm so sorry about your MUM; did you try to GOOGLE the word STARSTUCK ?? I can hear a song in my head sung by Nancy Wilson back in the 60's entitled "It's Over", and one by Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams from the 70's also by the same name. But maybe you're thinking of the songs Barbra 'put together', recorded for the WAY WE WERE album, in 1973. It's a medley, the last track, and it's very sweet and melancholy..."My Buddy/How About Me"...one of the lines is "it's over, all over, and soon somebody else will make a fuss about you, but how about me ?" It starts with "nights are long since you went away, I think about you all through the day, my buddy, my buddy, nobody quite so true...". This is most likely the one you're thinking of...again, deep sympathies on the loss of your mother, and hopefully, listening to some of Barbra's music will soothe your soul.
