Songs we would love to hear Barbra cover:
Barbra has impeccable taste in choosing material and I know it's a very personal choice. But I have a few songs which I would love to hear Barbra sing covers of and figured I would put it out to others and see what other people would like to hear.
A few of my suggestions for Barbra in case she's reading this:
The theme song from a great movie called "Same Time Next Year" which is sung by Johnny Mathis and a female singer whose name I can't recall. Beautiful song and I think it would be really well suited to Barbra's voice.
The Simon & Garfunkel song "Scarborough Fair" -- I think she could do a hauntingly beautiful rendition with overdubbing which she has done so well on songs like One Less Bell to Answer.
"How are Things in Glocca Morra" from Finian's Rainbow. And although this doesn't really count, because I know she recorded it, but it's never been released. I heard it on youtube before it was yanked and it was unbelievably beautiful.

I've been listening to Neil Sedaka's "The Immigrant"....I can almost hear Barbra singing it in my head........In the Sedaka vein, "The Hungry Years" would be another one I would like to hear her sing.
You can hear her sing Glocca Mora on You Tube!
Opera anyone? Nessun Dorma from Turandot. PLEASE. I beg you.
Michael Bolton took a well received crack at it. And on a YouTube clip of the late Pavarotti, he had the look of a singing orgasm on his face from the audience response.
If Barb ever covers one opera song, then this must be it. She is the only singer left who rivals the passion of Italians. The late Frank was the male Streisand. And she is the female Sinatra.
