Nothings Impossible Project - Help A Fan
I am an avid reader of the Barbra Streisand Archives by Matt Howe, and I was saddened to read that another site creator and "Super Fan" is ill. Considering the current health Care Debate, and how much Barbra cares about this subject, I thought I would share it with all of you. Please join me in doing what you can to help her out.

On a serious note, and on a personal level, I'd like to link to the “Nothing's Impossible Project” web page.
Allison Waldman is a Streisand fan (The Barbra Streisand Scrapbook) and a friend of mine ... and a friend of this site: she's been very generous over the years and even sent me a set of 1960s—1980s scrapbooks full of Streisand clippings that I've used often here.
Allison is now facing very serious health issues. Allison is also the “face” of America's broken health care system. It is heartbreaking and angering to me that *anyone* should have to make a choice between affording chemotherapy or dying.
So ... if you feel inspired and/or generous, please check out Allison's page and donate if you can. This is completely legitimate, and I have spoken to Allison on the phone just the other day about this.
Please keep Allison in your prayers ... or send her all the good energy you can muster.

I hope, soon or later (soon better), United States will get a Universal Health Care
and I'm sure it will be one of the best Medical system in the world because you have the tools to get it.
The tools are 300.000.000 citizens. Could you imagine what 300 millions of persons can get together? Anything they want.
I'm not naive; I know who the enemies of the project are: economic greed, ignorance and fear
They are hard obstacles but I think they can be defeated or better yet, convinced although it is important to set aside anger and focus on showing people how this works in other countries.
Lobbyist’s avarice could be harder to eliminate because they are societies that have been created for earning money but we cannot forget that at last they are formed by persons. I can not believe that all shareholders and employees of these companies are heartless people.
Spain with only 47 million inhabitants has a good public medical coverage not only for diseases and surgery or transplants but also for prevention.
That is true that a small percentage of our salaries go to the Social Security but only if you have a job.
A TV program showing people enjoying Public Health Systems in other countries could be perhaps a good idea and I’m sure it would have a good level of audience.
I wish a prompt recovery to Alice and to all the people that are in her same situation.

I'm so sorry for her. I don't know her, but it must be hard. I've had lots of relatives with cancers, diseases, ect. so I know it's hard. I, however, am only 15, so I don't have any money to give, but she'll be in my prayers.
