Inspiration
I love Barbra Streisand sooooooooooooooooooooooo much I just want to meet her soooooo badly. Anyway she inspires me. I want to be an actress. I watch her movies over and over and over again. I sort of study them to learn from her. I am a new fan though so I need a bit of help.

Well, as a "new" fan, and a very young one, I see, I'd recommend getting in touch with your "inner barbra". Really, she 's such a strong personality and awesome talent, and she didn't get that way by sitting on the sidelines. First of all, you have to believe in yourself; if you want to be an actress, there must be a drama class at your school or even your local YWCA. Check out all the local theatre productions, too, and after you've seen a few plays, maybe you can audition for them. Are you a singer, do you play a musical instrument ? Your school or church would have a choir, and an orchestra, or band. Do you have any friends who have similar aspirations ? Rent as many of Barbra's Movies as you can get a hold of and have parties with your friends, pop some pop-corn and sit and enjoy. Watch how Barbra does comedy, drama, musicals, watch her style, her poise, the very heart of what she represents, and say to yourself, if I work hard enough, perhaps that can be ME up there ! Listen to her music, the MY NAME IS BARBRA album, the first one I fell in love with when I was 12 years old, for example, to get a sense of her classic taste in songs. Keep collecting those CD's, and you'll discover the joy of listening and learning from her. With her marvelous voice, she sings with great purpose. One of my favorites that gives ME inspiration in everyday life is the 1998 CD, HIGHER GROUND. If you want to sing, or act, you must find a way to get out and DO IT. You'll gain great confidence, the more you do. Buy yourself a little tape recorder and sing into it everyday...who knows ? I was shy as a child and didn't like to JOIN things because of it, but I regret that. As I got older, I joined a community singing group, and also auditioned for 2 bands. I didn't get either job but it felt good to be out there and competing. It was also a pleasure to co-direct a few plays for our local theatre group; I learned so much about other people and about myself. Please give these things a try. My name is Jesslyn Katherine.I am from Indonesia, Jakarta but I live in Sydney for high school in grade 9. I am a big fan of Barbra Streisand. All day long, I listen to her songs and during the weekends I watch her movies. She’s such a great person, tough and amazing.No one can be Barbra. Her voice is just different with other singer which makes me amazed. I believe her music songs, and the way she present and sing her songs is very passionate. I learn a lot from her songs. My favourite songs that you sing is: I finally found someone, The way we were, My man, People, I’ve gotta crush on you, The main event, He touched me, Love is the answer album and etc more. I read her biography called, “The way she is” by Christopher Anderson and I love it, I then could know who she really are. Even though im young people were saying that im weird because i listend to her music since her music are for old people but i dont care because her music inspires me all day long.Im telling the truth that before i've noticed Barbra Streisand i dont know music and that never give up when someone bring you down. If I have a chance, I really hope that I could meet you one day and meet you in person.That’s my biggest dream.
