Has Barbra ever performed Bridge over troubled water?
Does anyone know if Barbra has ever performed "Bridge over troubled water"?
And how about "The Star-spangled Banner", "My way" and "I can't make you love me"?
Just wondering. And hoping

No, I don't believe Barbra has ever recorded "Bridge Over Troubled Water" but I've got to say, that when the "Higher Ground" CD came out, I had hoped she would 've chosen it. She sings "The Water is Wide" with "Deep River" and the effect is very powerful. "Bridge" is one of those rare songs that seems to be "owned" by Art Garfunkle, his melodic, haunting voice, and the words by Paul Simon are heartfelt; it would be LOVELY, most certainly, to hear Barbra sing this. No doubt she'd bring a new "twist" to this "anthem" without compromising it's meaning. If anything, I think she'd add a whole new dimension to it, her rich vocals emphasizing each word, painting a distinct picture for all of us to view. What would be EXCEPTIONAL would be a duet with Art Garfunkle, or perhaps Johnny Mathis who often lends a mystical, ethereal quality to his love songs (Barbra would tell you...check out HIS tribute album to the Bergmans and Michele Legrande). You will hear countless melodies, some already recorded by Barbra, but other just waiting there for her to perform in, hopefully, a future tribute to her good friends and "musical allies", the Bergmans, who wrote, among many other wonderful songs, the classic "the Way We Were" !
