The photos are absolutely exquisite. Barbra looks warm and cozy on the sofa surrounded by blue, white, and touches of brown and gray, I think. It's what the music is supposed to do for you, make you feel comfortable, relaxed, ready to sip that special cup of tea with a loved one ! And, she looks extraordinarily beautiful. I remember reading a interview once a long while ago that she didn't like to wear too much blue because rather than bringing out those sky-blue eyes, she felt they were hidden in all that 'azure'. I'm glad she's changed her mind about that; I know pink is her favorite color and she's used it often (Lazy Afternoon cover, for instance and an adorable pink and yellow dress she's wearing on the back-photo of Higher Ground, plus her Collection, all those lovely pinks and roses...) but she looks wonderful in blue and in this particular case, her eyes stand out like sparkling sapphires ! The photo she took for the inside is great, no wonder she's so inspired to sing with such a fabulous view from her home ! And then there's her sweet dog Sammi, on the back. Talk about unconditional love ! I was happy to see all the photos of her, Diana Krall, and the musicians. The 'story' of making this album comes together even better when you can 'meet' the folks behind the scenes.
