You will never know how much I appreciate you bringing this to everyones attention. My grandmother passed of a heart attack and a year later my father passed of the same thing. Men and women are different when it comes to health. That was many years ago and things have changed so much since then. My hope for this outcome would be that us, as women, could be told what to look for in signs that might lead us to be more preventive or to obtain help as soon as possible as do the men. I am soooo for equality and always have been. I think that we as women should wake up and realize that we have just as much right as a man does. Especially when it comes to health related issues! Thank you so much for bringing attention to something so dear to my heart :0).

Barbra, you are just a remarkable woman! As you point out you cannot stand idly by and watch inequality of any kind. I was completely unaware that 12 women are dying of heart disease as opposed to 1 with breast cancer. Makes me wonder why women all over the world aren't up in arms over this. Thank you as another woman for utilizing your celebrity status with all YOUR HEART to highlight this very serious disease. Maureen Walsh http://wwworphanstones.blogspot.com

Hi Barbra,

I just wanted to let you know that your efforts aren't going unnoticed. My mother suffered a mild heart-attack last week Monday and I barely could keep myself together. But, because that you kept us informed and aware, I was able to keep calm through the whole ordeal and educate and inform my mother of the disease. She was totally unaware that studies on women's heart disease were done on men. But now that you have brought this epidemic to the forefront, we are informed.

She is on the mend and is recovering as if nothing happened. She was sent home the next day - Tuesday. But at the same time, I've been keeping a close watch and monitoring her and my father's eating habits and am making definite progress in such a short time. But, we still have a long way to go. But at least, they are now informed, aware and doing something about it. My father has been a real big support since and is more than happy to make the necessary changes towards a healthier life for the BOTH of them.

So, in close, I say to you, 'Thank you!' for all that you continue to do and share. Your efforts are truly inspiring!

Sincerely,

Adriano - The guy who helped you and Donna the day before your 70th birthday at "the spa". Remember?

Thank you so much for sharing the video. Women's health is very important to me. More women need to to be aware of there body. Where I work we started a wellness program to help promote movement by excerise plus core structure. Thank you again for speaking out.
