I would like to end this by saying that I already congratulated the winner of the video contest Sobelita and REMOVED my posts regarding this contest after I actually LISTENED to a prior post by you - Mr. Bobby Wheeler - and thought about a few things.

Now - I am happy that Sobelita cleared up the entry question MANY of us (who submitted Videos) had. As she stated SHE DID POST TWO VIDEOS - I did not make this up. I am TRULY SORRY that I questioned the legitimacy of her entry - however if the shoe was on the other foot - I do believe she would have wondered the same thing.

No - I did not care for her video - she may not have cared for mine - but we are in a FREE country and I have a right to my opinion. Luckily for her - The Contest Promoters Disagreed with Me ...and I am THRILLED that this worked out in her favor.

I was entirely wrong and harsh in my response to her - and thereby CHOSE to remove my prior comments. Now we live in a world where one can not change their mind or re-evaluate their position ?

Mr. Wheeler - I take offense to your attacks on me and oddly enough - as I stated before - your prior post made me re-think my original posts in the 1st place. Kind of hypocritical to preach one thing and not practice it yourself.

Perhaps, as I needed to do - you too need to Check Yourself At The Door - before you go on a tirade against me saying: " and unlike the sore loser who posted and then deleted his posts ...Funny how some people saying they are "taking the high road to higher ground", and then come back with, "I told ya so's",and cliché nail jokes. Just childish. If there had been a contest for the most use of Barbra Streisand titles in one post maybe this griper would have won.."

It is true that there were coincidences in these contests and questionable issues - THEY HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH and I have moved on...hence my recent posts.

The only thing I will and have apologized for is my treatment towards Sobelita - it was childish, unnecessary, and perhaps I was acting a bit the 'sore loser" .

For this... I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TO HER !!!!

Every Streisand Fan I have ever met has been, if nothing else, PASSIONATE. Perhaps at times - to a fault. I suspect that is because most of us regard Barbra Streisand with great esteem.

As I stated previously - I only wish the winners The Best.

Thank you for enabling me to feel closer to Barbra than I ever imagined I could. Empowered by her song, I placed myself before the camera and embraced all that is Barbra. The result - a winning video. Amidst the lovely support there were cruel insults, unfounded accusations and absurd assumptions. I only wish to make one thing clear: I did not post two videos. I posted the same video twice as I desperately tried to ensure my entry made it into the realm of cyberspace. The judges were kind enough to remove the duplicate. Barbs from Barbra fans are memories - and what's too painful to remember we simply choose to forget.

Love is the Answer.

Wow. This explains a lot. This explains why when my friends and family went to vote for my picture, the site was conveniently buggy, and they couldn't get their votes in. The website also said that at one point that the contest was over, though the day had not been reached yet.

Is it true that the dog that won has the same breeder as the dog that Barbra owns? I saw that in this post. That's a bit odd if it's true.

I didn't agree with the rules of this contest in that the amount of votes would get you to win a chance with the judge. I think it should have been judges all along, basing their decisions on the quality of the picture, the cuteness, and more. Not everyone has 100's of people to vote on Facebook. Some people aren't on facebook, and don't even own their own computers.

Some of the comments here, if true, give me pause. If people have sour grapes, it's because they feel they've been duped and they wanted to see Barbra in concert THAT badly.

I know that I would have LOVED to see Barbra, but it was like throwing poop against the tide if I thought I was going to win. I didn't have loads of friends on facebook to vote. Just a few friends and family. I think the contest gave me a false hope, a kind of tease, that I could possibly go see Barbra in concert. Oh well. Streaming the concert from the venue is okay, I guess.

I don't know who this David is, but it is a shame that he has chosen Ms. Streisands web site to vent his anger.

For many years people have made accusations and complaints that Ms. Streisand didn't respect or appreciate her fans. She kept her distance. Well if this David is the type of fan she has encountered, on her journey to stardom, it is no wonder that she kept her distance.

I am always amazed at fans that "take ownership" of their Idols. It's actually a little frightening. I have been a fan of Ms Streisand for near 50 years now. I pay for cd's, I pay to see her films, I have paid 3 times for the honor of hearing her sing live. She has never disappointed me, she has always delivered exactly what I have paid for. I have no right to expect, nor demand anything more.

Ms. Streisand graciously offered so much to her fans with this upcoming new release. A chance to see her live, multiple interviews, streaming video of the Vanguard performance. Yet some still want more. How long before our beloved star retreats once again to her fortress in Malibu?

Give the Diva a break. Afford her the respect and honor she is due. She has entertained us for near 50 years. She is still young enough, beautiful enough and at the top of her game, to entertain us for many years to come. Be grateful for that. Be grateful for the gift she has shared.

To all the winners, much congratulations. It will be a night to remember forever.

Before I even go on I just want to say that I do not have any "sour grapes", or that I am jealous that I did not win any of the contests. You win some, you loose some so it's nothing to get your panties in a knot about. And I firmly believe that when one door closes another one opens...and mine already did (thanks again Valencia).....

But I want to say some things regarding the video winner. This video is creative and original which are two parts of the juding criteria that was mentioned on the websites rules and terms. The other two parts that all videos were judged on were vocals and looks (each category being 25%) -- does Sony really think this person has great vocals? Now we all know Barbra's voice cannot be re-produced (that's why I didn't even try) but I mean let's get serious, this video was very hard to listen to - and I have to agree with someone else who said it - but it's kind of an insult to our Barbra, no matter how funny their intentions were when it was filmed. And I am not even going to touch on the looks category, another major insult...

And not to go on, but obviously the rules didn't make a difference in this contest, because this person submitted two video's (under different accounts by the way), and the video that won was her second entry. These fake rules also stated that if ther same person sent in two videos that the second entry would be disqualified and the first one would be the one judged. So Sony, what happened in this case? Again these "rules" didn't make a difference so why even have them? (also it doesn't hurt that this person lives in New York, I guess Sony saved some money on hotel and airfare)

I don't blame Barbra for this at all!! She probably has no clue what is going on, if she did I can be sure this person would not have won.

All in all, congrats to all the winners, you all have gotten the chance of a lifetime to see Barbra live (whether some people think you deserve it or not). Enjoy every moment of it...there are millions of people that would cut their left arm off to just step one foot into that club to hear one note come of those amazing vocal chords.

Congratulations to the winners! Thanks for the opportunity Barbra. My friends and I had a great time entering my kitty, and looking at the other pets. The videos were hilarious. Great choice for the winner. What's with these bitter people who are accusing you of these nasty things? Incroyable!!!! (you understand French). I've already met you twice over the years (lucky, lucky me!!!), so I'm not heart-broken. Anyway, like your clock, I'm counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until I receive my pre-ordered CD's; then look out Long Beach, California; I'm turning it up FULL VOLUME. You are fantastic, passionate, beautiful, with a delicious voice. No one comes close. Thank you , again!!!!

Again, happy for the winners but sorry the contest was such a scam. I don't think anyone is a sore loser they just wanted a fair contest. As far as the more important things in life to complain about, you may be right but, I wouldn't want my children to think I didn't stand up for something I believed in no matter how small it was. You have taught us all a great lesson Sony! Barbra, we still think your great, but we have really been let down.

First I like to say CONGRADS!!! to the winners, I hope you have a great time at the concert Second, I can't believe the postings I see on this site; I have been a devoted fan of Ms Streisand since 1968 and though I have never had the chance of seeing her in person and yes I entered the contest; I am not about to throw stones at the people that won, or Sony records or most importantly Ms Streisand. There are so many other things going on in this world; for instance The WAR our men & women are fighting , our Economy,Women & Children being abused, People in this country being killed without reason , and being put down, beaten or killed for being Black,White, Latino, Asian or Gay/Lesbian and some of you with your comments are more concerned with a loved one not getting tickets because they feel someone cheated, without proof of it and others angry because a picture of a dog wasn't in the top 20? If you would take all that wasted energy and pointed towards your Politicians , speak out and let them know how you feel about the War, Healthcare, and abuse and gun control WOW! what impact you would have and changes could start coming about, good changes, or get involved in your community or volunteer, make a difference. Stop! bashing people who have won and are going to see someone they respect and love very much, just like the rest of us that didn't win. Lastly, am I disappointed? Yes but, I won't die from not seeing her and I still have the up most respect and love for Babs. That's all I have to say and I am sure there will be comments but, let it go..Please. I see you amended your original post, after calling me, of all things, a “jealous screaming Queen,” and making statements that I am merely a sore loser. Quite comical, to say the least.

First of all, I DID NOT enter the pet or video contest whatsoever, so your alleged original assumption doesn’t come into play. If you’re interested, however, I played the Pixel Game several times, and pre-ordered the deluxe CDs for myself and a friend. “Notwithstanding the foregoing,” you are both misguided and ill-informed.

Second, presented were the facts. The pet winner was NOT in the Top 20, disenfranchising all of the hard work that those 20 pet owners went through to even get a 1 in 20 shot at the Holy Grail. The winning video entrant posted an earlier one, and the rules are the rules are the rules. That ends the conspiracy theory.

Lastly, even Barbra might think you are a bit over-zealous in assuming I’m a male, with your reference to “his” character. Does having somewhat of a command over the English language preclude that I might be a female? Where is it written? That is quite a contention on your part. How do you figure that I’m a guy? Mmm…that might start another supposed “conspiracy,” as to information you may or may not be privy to, so instead, I’ll let that go, by merely saying:

Congratulations to the winner of the Cutest Pet contest. The puppy is adorable, the photo is exceptional! Unfortunately, the outcome left the leading participants in the contest feeling quite the "fool" for having believed that their hard work and their friend's time voting for their pet was for naught! My pet was close to the coveted Top 20. It took an incredible amount of time and energy to get there. It isn't about being a sore loser. It's about the appearance of impropriety. The rules I saw always allowed someone out of the Top 20 to be chosen. But the emphasis in all communication implied that the number of votes a pet received was critical. In the end, the entire process was just regrettable.
