I watched your Larry King interview Barbra and I too don't understand why people vote against their self interest. I will never understand. Thanks for your support for women health issues and all that you do.

Does anybody else check out Barbra's Shoes?

I LOOOOOVE those boots she has on in the Larry King interview! Also I was noticing the shoes she had on in the Hello Dolly Staircase scene and that dress was beautiful (but it looked kind of heavy, I wonder if it was). I also find myself stopping the video looking at her shoes in the videos of her concerts- they are so pretty. ( I think I got a shoe thing like "Carrie" in sex and the city!) haha! It's like she has Cinderella clothes. Can you imagine if she had a daughter how pretty her daughter would be dressed when she goes out? (I totally understand being comfotable and free at home), But actually Barbra does have a lot of "spiritual" daughters around the world. US!! Wow, her taste is exquisite (mine must be too then if I like hers) haha! I kinda wish she had a clothes line too.

Wanted, to with you a much; marry Christmas. After I wanted to be an Engineer blowing steam sound all over town, I wanted to be a helicopter pilot. Than, I was at the age of eight, I was a professorial landscaper for the houses with shale roofs. I took from them two and a quarter an hour. Pulled weeds, mode lawn, trimmed rose, and so. Than at twelve I got my second job prepping, fourth cook at a French restaurant with enough stars to keep road air plains in the lot and such . Than I worked as a gas boy filling aircraft and than back to cooking. But I always dreamed of being an architect to see 'Home' in a glance after lines spun on paper. TO walk on a site and not take notes, just know how it should be would have been just fin with me. I just wasn't to kind with math, could spin a pencil with the best in three D. Love what you have decided to express. A photo, or many of them strung together, or even a song. Can not bring warmth like a 'Home'.

Why do people ask Barbra for stuff? I'm sure she gets that all the time. I wish we could just appreciate her work and achievements.

Hi,
just saw the whole interview on cnn international and liked it very much.
There is one question I have: Barbra says because of stagefright she did not
gave concerts for 27 years until her come-back to the concert stage in 1993/94.
I can count only a hiatus of about 20 years since barbra gave concerts in las vegas
in 1970 and in 1973. And 20 years is a long time too...right ?!
Not that it matters so much but ...you know...
I am a fan since the 1960s and I want to thank you, Barbra Streisand, for all the
joy and excitement (saw you the 1st time live at the millenium concert...) you
brought into my life. God bless you and your loved ones

Wow! What a day, it is like Barbra Streisand day in America. GMA, Larry King and Nightline also Entertainment Tonight I had television on and it came on I am up a lot as I am in pain and sleep when I can I saw your interview and Induction into the California hall of fame. The exhibit looks amazing and it was great when you met Betty White. I love that you said your greatest achievement was "having my son." Watched Larry King and GMA twice as I dvr'd them. Both interviews were wonderful. I love the house (the barn house) the best. It is so incredible what you created the detail the art the research you are so smart and your taste is incredible. I just love the Greene & Greene room and the street of shops. I look at the detail that went into every thing it's incredible. I even love the Mill house and the water wheel and pond and lap pool. Love the Art Nouveau section of the house as well. I love the little bedroom you created, I love the wallpaper in the room, just incredible. I love the door leading into the room. Just love the Merlot velvet couches with the Tiffany lamps. The grounds are something to behold right out of a fantasy painting. You did a magnificent job and you already know from previous posts I love the book.

This must of been taped a few days ago as it was Interesting how you were talking about "don't ask don't tell" you think it's not going to be re appealed and it just passed through Congress today. I hope it pass' the House. It should, yet they say now that it might make them work into the Holiday. Just finished watching Nightline interview. It was my favorite of the four as they showed so many clips from your movies. I love how open you were with Robin Roberts. I wish they would of shown more of the Barn House, which is my favorite. I could go on and on about that house yet you get the point.

You inspired me to do my whole house in art deco when I had to move back to Metro Detroit from New York in 2004 I was injured in 2002. I was like you, I researched for years and gutted inside of a house and totally redid in art deco. I love the Art Nouveau period as well. I wish I could share my pictures of my house with you yet they will not fit as I only get 1 mb per picture. Barbra your right it takes a long time to do. If you notice in the picture I sent of the dogs in a previous post there are still blinds on the windows from the prior owner. That is because I had to search for the right fabric for the drapes and sheers for two years. I will try and get a picture of the dogs in with the drapes. I searched all over the world for the furniture and most of it came from France. It is all original art deco except the black couch. What I did is deal with dealers who buy from France and I buy furniture from them. I had to do most of shopping on line with antique dealers. The one thing I totally did not realize at the time was the shipping cost from all the dealers. Big expense. I even purchased many of your art deco items form your e-bay auctions. I purchased the silver art deco chandelier it is missing glass shades yet i love it also purchased an art deco pitcher, your green art deco shot glass' plus other items. Well, I love it and Barbra you were my inspiration.

I must say when you said favorite would be directing I was a bit sad as it would only be great to me if you were in the film. You are an excellent director and in my opinion "Yentl" is your best work as a director. I don't know if you know this before I went to Pharmacy School. I went to New York University where I was a film major and business minor I have a BFA in film and was also a rhythmic tap dancer. Barbra you inspired me to escape Metro Detroit at 18 to attend NYU. I unfortunately injured myself tap dancing and it never healed properly and now suffer from RSD which is chronic pain syndrome. That is why I had to move back to Metro Detroit. I could no longer work or tap dance or get around New York City.

I never thought I would be back here again. Barbra, you bring me so much solace through your music and movies and I have been lucky enough to see you five times in concert. In 1994 saw you 3 times at MSG and at The Palace in Metro Detroit(I flew in for that performance. My family knows the late Robert Sosnick and Sue Sue Sosnick so they got me great seats; I took my Mom,she loved it. She was the one who introduced me to you at age 5. She wanted me to watch your first television special ) I most recently saw you in 2006 at the Columbus, Ohio concert. My cousin drove me all the way to Columbus, OH and that was the best time as you or promoters canceled The Palace and they/ you held a block of tickets for the Detroit people, I was 3rd row center aisle. My cousin had to drive me as the injury is in right ankle can only drive 5 miles at a time. So, you see, Barbra you are a true inspiration to me as I am disabled now and can no longer work, tap dance or live in New York. I was a roller blader as well and used to skate from Chelsea Pier to Liberty park on path on West side highway. My favorite was when I skated by the Statue of Liberty Listening to "Don't Rain on My Parade" on i-pod. I even had to install an invisible fence for the dogs as I cannot walk them. I was also a huge workout person had a trainer and a tap dance coach.

Barbra, as you see my life did a 180 degree change. Yet, your music, movies, concerts bring me so much solace I can't thank you enough. I really want to share some more pictures of the dogs yet it keeps coming back image too big. I never told you about the ridge. Barbra, you will love this as it serves a purpose in the breed. On the back of the dog the hair in the center grows in the opposite direction to create a ridge it is beautiful yet the reason was when they were bred as Lion Hunters the ridge would go against the grain in the brush allowing them to run faster. They are quick agile dogs. Yet very gentle and loving. I will try and get a picture in showing the ridge. If I cannot you can look up on line. They are rare dogs and cannot be bought at a pet store, must get from a breeder.

Barbra, having you on television four times today was such a thrill it was an amazing day seeing you in all of the interviews. I look forward to you starting your new CD and going to see the new "Fockers" movie. As a person who holds a degree in film making I must tell you that you are an amazing director, you really know how to tell a story and your attention to detail is amazing. Yet, the key is that you create characters that the viewer cares about and you get great performances from your actors and when your directing yourself. So , if you choose to direct again, please, put your self in the film.

Well, thanks again for making this a wonderful day for me with all the interviews. As I said in an earlier post I will donate to your charity for Women's Cardiac care every month until you reach your goal. It is the least I can do for all the happiness and inspiration you have brought into my life.

I wish you continued success, health and happiness. I will try and get a dog picture in yet all coming back too large. Tried again, same problem I will try again in next post. thank g-d that one got in an earlier post. Barbra, here's something funny. My Dad's name is Sam and we call him " Sammy," just like your Samantha you call "Sammy"

Best Always,

Barbra,
After seeing this interview, I am convinced more than ever, YOU are the person who can bring forward the true artist perspective of design, that could engage the general public into support of saving Frank Lloyd Wrights only real home, his living sketchbook and the heart of his natural design "Taliesin". This is the 100 year celebration of Taliesin, one of the nations most influencial National Landmarks, yet remains on the World Monuments Endangered list possibly because of its obscure location within the Heartland of Wisconsin. We need help to expose America to inspire our youth to do today, as Frank and others did; to use your own experiences and have the audacity to reinvent tomorrow for the better. Please consider helping in anyway to save this True National inspiration, educational center of Creative Innovation in anyway as a lecture, discussion on design, concert or small book signing, we would truly be honored. You are, as Frank was, an artist and we need more of that today. Thanks for sharing your passion with us! We truly need more of your inspiration in America Today to just do it even if the others dont.
THANK YOU!

Poem for Barbra

It's rare I write poetry,
fiction novels are my key.
Indulge my need for exposure,
and then my books can fund a cure.

I'm not rich or famous,
so I must create a fuss.
I want to hellp donate
It's my fate.
But I need thousands of sales
of my romantic suspense tales.

"Court of Lies" is the novel
that I need to sell.
Agree to pass on the print,
so the fundraiser can make a mint.

Thanks, Barbra. I humbly ask for your support of my writing. With an agreement, I would exchange a portion of the royalties for the research of women's heart disease. I'm not asking for a monetary exchange, but rather your exposure to promote my novel, Court of Lies. A novel is a small price for readers to pay for hours of healthy entertainment . Many sales will generate many donations.

Respectfully,
Dawn Kunda
