Re: TABLOID RECYCLES OLD FABRICATION
I'm far away in Portugal so I read your truth alert before I ead about that lie they put out once again. But it's no news for anybody that tabloids talk about any thing any time, mostly if it's made up. No one seems to care about the truth anymore...
However, you shouldn't waste your time and energy sueing them. As long as you're here to put out the truth and the people that care about you wait for it and don't pay any attention to whatever the tabloids say - as it happened - you should ignore them as much as you can.
But the most important thing right now is that you are ok and nothing got removed from anywhere

To Journey7:
The point is that Herman Cain will bring himself down.
His '999' tax plan is strictly meshuge (crazy), and many of his fellow Republicans know it (those of them who still have a brain and a conscience).
He's capable of crashing and burning without any help from us; and even if he somehow did manage to win the Republican nomination, he would be the easiest for Liberals and progressives to beat.
We've got too much 'dirty linen' on our side of the political aisle: If we get into a 'mud-slinging' battle with the Republicans: Cain, Sanford, Ensign, Craig, Foley, on their side vs. Clinton, Weiner, Spitzer, Edwards, on our side, we only stay down at their level; and even worse, risk giving them an advantage.
Yes, the truth always wins if those representing it are wise.
Let's be wiser, and let this man, Herman Cain, do the job he's doing defeating himself.
Let's take the 'high road' instead.
Re: TABLOID RECYCLES OLD FABRICATION
Btw, the recent article posted here by Robert Reich about Glass-Steagall is excellent.
This is the kind of information that matters; not what Herman Cain may have done 12 years ago.
Robert Reich is touching upon how Liberals and progressives might re-group against the continuing specter of 'Reaganomics';-
and why we don't want it back with a vengeance.
I understand that Gloria Allred has produced another witness against Mr. Cain, but I foresee a problem with pursuing this any further:
Besides overseeing the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act, the signing of the NAFTA act, the "don't ask, don't tell' rule", etc., all major abdications to the Republicans and their agenda, Bill Clinton was perhaps the worst President we've ever had concerning women.
Walmart, just recently, won a major Supreme Court decision against women's rights.
It didn't help matters that Sam Walton had Bill Clinton in his back pocket, sort of speak, for so many years while the latter was abusing so many women.
And you, Ms. Allred, were silently; and you, Ms. Streisand, actually gave this man an award an a million dollars!
We need to get back to issues of substance, and to raise the bar!
Re: TABLOID RECYCLES OLD FABRICATION
May you go on to the next life after living to be the oldest woman ever to live! I couldn't bear to think of living without you in my world.

RE: Herman Cain poster,
I think that it just goes to show that whatever you do in the dark will eventually come to light- no matter who you are, or how many years go by. Especially if you want to put yourself out there for all the eyes of the world to see. So be careful what you do. It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and 10 minutes to destroy it. Anyone can make a mistake, but when it happens over and over again it's not a mistake- it's a lifestyle.
Just saying.
#TRUTH ALWAYS WINS OUT
#LIVE AUTHENTICALLY
Re: TABLOID RECYCLES OLD FABRICATION
Speaking of tabloid-like speculations; 'yellow journalism', scandal mongering, etc.:
I'd like to say some words about Herman Cain.
I hope that some Liberal and progressive activists will resolve not to pursue this against the man.
First off, we've got a slew of worse offenders on our side (Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, Eliot Spitzer, etc.): The old cliche, 'he who lives in a glass house...', is appropriate here.
So even if Mr. Cain is guilty of what he is accused, this is not to our advantage.
Secondly, and more importantly, Liberals and progressives need to re-establish that we are the good guys here.
Yes, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, so on, have practiced 'tabloid journalism' against us, and 'recycled fabrications' about their side; and I know it is tempting to strike back; 'fight fire with fire'; but I'm hoping that more Liberals and progressives resolve not to step into this trap.
We become too much like them by doing so; we have already become too much like them in some crucial ways.
Let's not play this game with them anymore.
Yeah, I know, 'negative campaigning' works, so both sides do it; but sooner or later one side or another has got to raise the bar, and (thank you, Johnny Mercer)-
accentuate the positive;-
it being better that it should be Liberals and progressives who do this first.
What do you think?
Re: TABLOID RECYCLES OLD FABRICATION
For some reason I can't bring up this link, but the topic of 'recycling fabrications' is pertinent; particularly in relation to the newest right wingers on the scene and their insistence on recycling 'supply-side economics', and other nefarious forms of 'Reaganomics'.
It is sort of like recurring hemorrhoids on the body politic.
What I've been trying to say all along here is that Clinton and Gore had eight years to remove the 'polyps' left on our economy left by Reagan and Bush sr., and in truth did not do this at all.
In fact they actually added to the damage.
And President Obama, starting with majorities in both houses of Congress behind him, didn't remove the 'polyps' left by George jr.
Ms. Streisand, why is it that so often after everything that Liberals and progressives attempt to do while in government, the Conservatives follow right after and undo it, and then-
recycle their fabrications all over again?
Might you agree that we may never be able to help what the tabloids print (it seems that winning lawsuits against them for libel doesn't improve their behaviour):
'Truth alerts' are lost on them, like where the proverbial 'moon and sun don't shine'.
And there will always be right-wingers.
What can we do ourselves, what mistakes can we recognize and rectify on our own part, to break the pattern of recycled fabrications;-
at us and against us?
The unfortunate truth is that we often open ourselves up for that time and time again.
How do we finally make it stop?
