My father had open heart surgery at the age of 41. He has been diagnosed with heart disease which he inherited from his father's family. I am 23 years old my father had his surgery when I was 9 years old. Years have went by and I've experienced scary situations with chest pain, my left arm going numb or hurting, difficutly breathing etc. I'm not overweight, eat healthy and do my best on staying active the only thing is heart disease is genetically inherited in my family. At ER visits doctors have always told me they don't know if my problems are heart related that most of the symptoms I experience are what men have experienced but that heart symptoms vary differently from men to women so it's hard to say...I don't like being left with a question mark when it comes to my health. So I'm glad to see this support from you, Ms. Streisand, and many others out there. Thank you.
