Would you like to attend one of the most prestigious events in entertainment to see Barbra Streisand honored for her renowned creative accomplishments as well as her philanthropic work? Raise the most money for Barbra's campaign for the Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai on Crowdrise between now and February 7, and you'll win two tickets to the MusiCares 2011 Person of the Year Gala & Concert in Los Angeles on February 11!
Go to Crowdrise and click Join the Team. In real time, you'll have your own fundraising page on Barbra's team so you can reach out to your friends and family and ask them to help support the cause. Raising $10 or $20 from lots of people can go such a long way in fighting heart disease.
The MusiCares Person of the Year Gala is one of the most prestigious events held during GRAMMY Week. The celebration culminates with the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 13, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Announced performers at the concert include Tony Bennett; singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth; GRAMMY-nominated Glee cast members Darren Criss, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison; Herbie Hancock; Diana Krall; Barry Manilow; Donna Summer; Stevie Wonder; Jeff Beck; LeAnn Rimes; Seal; BeBe Winans and singer Nikki Yanofsky. Streisand, an eight-time GRAMMY-winning artist and current nominee, will close the evening with her own special performance. Additional performers will be announced soon.

At almost 70 she don't sound like when she was 30 , no matter how your emotions change your eardrums.
She does and has used teleprompters for a long time, so she doesn't forget the words, somthing she has long defended.

Barbra Forever in MusiCares Concert Next Month!
Although the academy should convey to the world that final party honoring Barbra Streisand, because their fans the rest of the world will not be able to have the luck to see this great tribute to this great and only Diva in the news, so I like here in Brazil, in love with Barbra, this event could never assisitir still time to think about it.

Does anyone know if this MusiCares event all about Barbra or is she just one of many honorees? Most of the headliners have ties to Barbra accept for Leanne Rimes, Jeff Beck, and a few others. I'm especially excited about a LIVE No More Tears, Enough is Enough performance, although I'm not holding my breath on that one:)

Barbra, thank you for your concern regarding women's heart problems, I just had a triple bypass in December....but my insurance ended 1/1/2011...so here I am with no insurance.... but I will be getting Medicare in July.......til then....winging it! As for the tickets, please give to someone who can make the trip! Thanks again and God Bless You!

it's one of the leading Hospital helping woman with this terrible disease.
i've already joined CROWDRISE not only to enter the contest and have the chance to see Barbra honored. but to help with my little grain o SAND !!!

I, too, would so much love to attend the MusiCares concert. However, I, too, can in no way come up with the donations necessary to win those tickets, or to donate enough myself to even come a little, bitty bit close. So, good luck to those who try and congratulations to the winner. I have donated what I can. Best of luck in raising as much money as you can for this wonderful cause, Barbra. Your endorsement of such a worthy research program will place it light years ahead of where it would be without your support. Women with heart desease around the world will benefit from your generosity.

and am praying that I can win these tickets. I figure, I lost on the Village Vanguard Ticketsl and I lost on the Oprah Tickets, so the odds are in my favor! Now if I can only get people to open there wallets to such an important cause.

Would be thrilled to win 2 FREE tickets to an event honoring Ms Streisand. However, tickets will go to the person who raises the most money. Sounds more like tickets will go to the person who has the extra dough to donate and "zip", gets the tickets. Wish I had the extra dough to donate for tickets, but I don't. Did I tell you that today (1/13) is my 50th birthday and what a great "gift" it would be to receive tickets. Accommodations would be nice too. Guess dreaming about will have to do. KR
