From today, Barbra will be joining 11 other celebrities who are competing to win a $25,000 prize for their chosen charity. In Barbra's case –the beneficiary of the contest is the Women’s Heart Center at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Last October, Barbra launched an online fundraising campaign to raise $5 million to benefit The Barbra Streisand Women’s Cardiovascular Research and Education Program. Fans were invited to donate online using ‘Crowdrise’ – a fun website which incorporates fundraising with social networking, crowdsourcing and contests.

Starting today - December 14th – Crowdrise is joining forces with Mozilla/Firefox – one of the biggest online search engines – to help 12 celebrities get exposure for their charities. Barbra is one of those celebrities.

Whichever celebrity raises the MOST money – between December 14th and January 11th will win a $25,000 donation from Mozilla/Firefox, which will benefit their chosen charity. We hope it’s Barbra!
