Hello Everyone Everywhere . From Paris/France. I clicked to the internet link to watch the bid but it is closed . Is it possible to know which price was paid for these two tickets ? To spend an evening in Haven... on Earth...!!! Thank you very much. I hope Miss Streisand will collect a lot of money for this cause . Thruthfully Yours.
André.

ps: please excuse my english...

Good luck with your event, i'm sure it will be fantastic. I think Mr Clinton has got to be one of the "coolest" people ever! Maybe you can get him to play his sax?

Hope there will be a dvd/ or CD for our viewing pleasure, lol

Though I am only 22 and work as a server trying to pursue my dream that Barbra has inspired, led and taught, I would be willing to give everything I posses to this charity to only hear some words of wisdom from the most inspirational director, producer, actress, singer, political speaker, who has had the greatest impact in my life. I would donate a trillion dollars if I had it, but the charity's that the Streisand Foundation are too important to ignore, and that is why my money is donated to them. Thank you for your inspiring words and life Barbra!! I will love you forever!

I wrote an earlier comment about how I grew up on Barbara, the songs, the progression of my life to her songs. She was such an amazing oasis for me. I forgot to mention in my very long, long narrative (I do apologize), that my birthday is October 11th, 1956. Really. First it was Sam, you made the pants too long. Then it was On a Clear Day. Then The Way We Were. And A Star Is Born, I'm the one who had the audacity to wonder what you saw in Mr Kristofferson... Then I found Superman and heard "New York State of Mind". What a marvelous masterpiece. But my favorite song on that album was "Lullaby for Myself". I was also the one who did the skit of Sam you made the Pants too long for my Dad when I was about ten or eleven. I still love that song. Anyway, it would be a truly wonderful, blessed experience. I am also a big fan of Mr Clinton's.
Thank you,
Zina Marie

Ms. Streisand,

Good luck with your fund raiser and thank you for all that you are and do for what is right and what is good. I wish I could afford it but at this time I am a student who is a displaced worker from the recession. I went back to college to retrain as a Radiation/Oncologist Therapist. However, the Koch Brothers who funded the tea party are now here in California attempting to get into the student loan business. Not sure if you all watched what happened to the students at UC Davis and recently at Santa Monica Community College where the students were sprayed with pepper spray for a quiet and peaceful demonstration of the school change in financial aid policies, for which they had a right to do. They are wanting to continue to cut back classes and lay off teacher and close programs and then say that only a certain number of people can attend but if you have money to spend, like the out of state tuition costs, they will offer classes. City College San Francisco is worried about becoming insolvent and they have been open since the 1940's....OUTRAGEOUS..!!!!!! and this is all because now this forces the students to go the banks, the Koch brothers and borrow money. In addition, they want to charge California residents/students out of state tuition if you fail a class. Which is a D now days. I wanted to put this out there that this is a fight. They want to make education less available and making harder for lower income people to get ahead. Wasn't the American Dream if you work hard and try you will succeed? That you want to contribute, be responsible. I wanted to put this message and hopefully motivate folks to wake up and vote properly and vote Democrat! There is no Republican on their side. Now Corporations have a right to vote, God help us with the upcoming Prop 8 ruling and this alleged conservative justice in our Supreme Court.

Sincerely,
Daniel

I realize Ms. Streisand doesn't monitor politics very closely, so someone should inform her that President Obama recently endorsed marriage equality. This will interest The Artist very much, as it directly affects her son, many of her friends, and roughly 107% of her fan base.

Who knows, Ms. Streisand just might want to release a statement supporting this historic move, after she's done informing the public that The National Inquirer publishes lies (which we did not already know), and selling tickets to her latest, last ever, concert.

Barbara: I have been a fan since your SnowBird Album, your voice gives me such revelation, i have such peace and contempment when i hear your voice. When i hear the song No One Is Going To Hurt you it makes me think of my Mother who i lost when i was Fifteen. I am now 53 and still your music sets me free. My wife bought me your two Concerts on DVD for my 50th Birthday and i think i have them worn out. Barbara it would be such a thrill for me to come to your concert at your home. I know i never can because i have a been off of work since May 2010 with a knee injury and my wifes income is the only one we have, if it wasn't for section 8 housing we would be homeless. But i have my Concert DVD's so will have to be content with that! I love you lots Mrs. Brolin!

Thank you for coming into my life!

I wish I could afford to bid, but I'm just the biggest fan of Barbra. I would do anything to meet her and hear that magical voice that has soothed me since Funny Girl.

Hello Barbara,
What an honor it is to just write this letter. I love you. I grew up with you. I was the one that did skits of 'Sam you Made my Pants Too Long' for my Father. He also loved you dearly, (romantically too). He passed a little over a year ago.
I first saw you in "On a Clear Day". I was breathless! Not only did I hear the beautiful music coming from your lips, but you were also beautiful. Ahhh, you and Jack Nicholson! And then I finally got to see you in "Hello Dolly" and you were masterfull.
Then a lot of personal things started happening...life if you will and the next thing I knew I was sitting in a theatre waiting for the sensational music of "The Way We Were", Ahhh, Robert Redford! Oh, Barbara! What a babe! Then the next thing I knew (after a couple of babies), it was "A Star is Born". Chris Christofferson (sp),.... he was okay but??? Who am I to question? You should have seen some of the choices I made! lol.
Anyway, life went on for me, life went on for you and all of a sudden I'm hearing this incredible piece of music about this incredible city I've still never seen, the song excites me still..."New York State of Mind". WOW! My favorite song from the Superman album is Lulaby for Myself. I can just see you singing that. I sing that!
And now, your music cradles me, comforts me, reminds me, lifts me, inspires me, makes me want to reach for all that I can possibly attain!
I would love to attend this concert. I have never had the honor of attending one of your concerts. Due to my disability, I am unable to work... but I'm working on that....I'm always working on that. And financially I've always let men run things... until I divorced. They just never saw things like this, as important as I do.
I would love to meet President Bill Clinton. I saw him in Minneapolis once. I gave him a really dirty look. So skeptical. I think I scared him...he looked scared. But I admire the man. He turned things around in this country. He definitely changed my view of how politics can work. I would like to hear more of what he thinks about foreign policy. I think we are way over-extending ourselves. Anyway, who am I? He just seems like a very brilliant yet concerned, sincere person.
Please Barbara, please allow me to be one of your guests. I'll do my skit!
Also, I use to always take part in Take-Back-The-Night marches. It's a great thing to advocate for! Women need as much support as they can get.
Thank you for reading this. Really. Zina Marie

I am a huge fan since I can't remember. Have all your albums and DVD's and your biography. When I saw you were doing another concert I said to my husband, "I would give anything and everything to be there" You are my alltime favorite female singer. Your voice brings me to tears. My husband and I danced to your song duet with Celene, at our wedding reception, 15yrs. ago. You are an amazing talent, and second in my heart to my husband David who is also an amazing talented musician.
All the best with your concert in NY, and this amazing intimate concert you will be doing with President Clinton. Only wish I could be there to witness it. I'm hoping a DVD will be made of it so I can at least watch it, as I would never be able to bid.

All my love Debby Bacha
Keep the music coming!

Dear Ms Barbra,

This is a thank you note. Of course I would be in heaven attending this event and supporting the cause -- but this is out of my financial league for now -- so reading about it and seeing the pictures will be my treat! Smiling So, this is a thank you note.

Without knowing it...you taught me to sing. I am 43 and I still need to "listen to some Barbra" when I have a performance coming. I believed/believe every word you sing -- which to me is the ultimate indication of a great singer -- telling me that story like it is their own. Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston were my vocal coaches -- unbeknownst to them!

This past November I had the honor of singing for another hero, David Foster, at an "Idol" like event that was honoring him and the high school that we are both alumni's of (in Victoria, BC, Canada). He spoke well of my performance and it was a tremendous honor to be able to sing as he sat at the piano earlier in the day at rehearsal. What a thrill!! And who did I warm up to at home before I made way over to this once in a lifetime event? Barbra Streisand -- about an hour of singing with you and I felt about as ready as one can be! In 1986 (my Grad year) I had the honor of combining you both (David and Barbra) by being asked to perform the rendition of "Somewhere" that you brought to life. My life is jam packed with beautiful moments!

Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli and I have done MANY duets -- I just need to tweak the fact that neither is aware of that! HA! But I have learned a lot doing this...singing with my favorites and to not say thank you when I have this opportunity would be rude! Plus, whiIe I can't be sure, it's nice to feel you that you will actually hear/read this!

Here is my performance http://youtu.be/0HsU296GeBI for David Foster, Nelly Furtado and Amy Foster last November - if you watch to the end you'll hear the judges review. It was a COOL night! Smiling

Thank you for the class act that you are...as a performer and as a person!

Thank you!

I wish I could have done the auction It is my wish and dream to have met you and Josh groban two of my favorite singers.
Your music is amazing and I wish I had the money to come see you but I have had a lot of heartache I lost my dad in 2006 and my sister had a stroke and katrina took things from us and It did not take my love of music I love your songs, movies and Everytime you sing you make me feel better .
I loved your avinu Malkinu I am jewish
Thank you for singing and keep it up I wish I could get more albums of yours
maybe one day

I wanted to add a Mazel Tov to you and I do hope one day I will get to meet you and Yours songs have touched my heart and remind me of my best friend
also we have the same kind of dog

I would love to attend this fabulous event...but I'm sorry to say I don't fly...so I'll have to wait until you throw another event on the East coast!

Barbra, a week doesn't go by that someone doesn't call me Barbra...I look like you...or that's what everyone thinks! One day I got out of a limo in NYC and I heard someone yell..."there's Barbra!"...I said to the gentleman I was with..."Where is she?" and he said, "they're talking about you!"; with that, people stormed me and he shielded me and got me into the restaurant....When people call me Barbra, I tell them that I don't have your voice or your bank account.....so I became a talent agent...just last year...and although I may not be making a fortune, I'm having a ball with it! Music has always been my passion!

Like you, my roots started in Brooklyn...my Mom lived on Ocean Parkway and Avenue "U"....her cousin, Estee Lauder, told me about the old days in Brooklyn...and my Dad grew up on the Lower East side...so although I was born in NJ and have lived here all my life....I learned to speak Brooklynese.....since every weekend I was taken to NY to visit my Grandmother, Aunts & Uncles, etc....I have not lost my desire for Egg Creams and Knishes from Yonah Shimmels....

One day maybe we will meet...I am always honored to be called Barbra and if you're friendly with Fran Drescher....she's another favorite of mine....I watch THE NANNY all the time...she's fabulous and I laugh my tush off...love that grandmother!!!!

Please raise lots of money and tell Bill Clinton that if he ran again, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat...I voted for him before and I'd do it again!

Enjoy this special day!!!!

Forty-six years later you continue to inspire me.
You have lifted me up during moments of challenge and helped me reach my own potential as a person.
You gave me the courage to step into the spotlight during the years I was in the theatre.
You kept me company when as a teenager I found solace with your voice in the quiet of my own bedroom.
I knew I was in love with the man I have been married to for 26 years, when he showed me he owned an album of yours (that clinched it for me).
You instilled in me a commitment to seek answers when my daughter (now 24) was born with a disability.
What I am basically saying is: next to my family, you had the biggest influence in my life.
And I thank you.
Forever a fan,
Lauren B. Grossman

Dear Mrs. Barbra Streisand-Brolin:

There are so many people around the world who would give anything they could to be able to be at this event or any of your events. I am going to be 50 the month of your now, sold out concert in October. There is a bidding war for this event and I'm sure any other event that you do.

Everyone loves you and admires what you have done and continue to do, share your beautiful voice with us. I ended up permanently disabled almost 14 years ago due to SEVERE CHILD ABUSE by my father who was born in the Holy Land. Just because we are Jewish doesn't mean that bad things can't happen to them. It took me almost 20 years to forgive them, as my mother watched and knew and did nothing to stop him.

I am the one that wrote about my Bubby taking me to see you when I was around 10. That movie helped me in my life so much. I was able to accomplish things I never would have if I hadn't seen that movie.

I am a single mother and my daughter was taken out at 32 weeks and the doctor said he miscalculated the numbers and that he was sorry. She has gone through more in her almost 14 years then any child should and I now she requires Brain Surgery. We don't have good medical care in Arizona and I fear for her life and if possible would move back to the East Coast just to get better medical care. I don't know what to do. I wish I had the answers. My father destroyed my spine so I am in constant pain.

My point is, is that everyone has a story and a wonderful reason to want to meet you and the President. To me President Clinton will go down in history as being one of the BEST PRESIDENTS we have ever had in this country.

Unfortunately, 99% of us can't afford the DVD let alone to see you in person. I hope I get the chance one day, as I have a very serious heart condition that they won't help me with here. But the truth is, 99% of us can't even afford to start the bid let alone bid anything at all, so whomever does will have the time of his/her lives.

That's the way the world works, there is us and there is all of you and we can't compete with that, not financially anyway.

I have always been a huge fan of your music and you voice, like an Angel, and have loved you sing forever and maybe one day I will get a call that I won a contest to meet you, although I know that it will probably never happen, I suppose only G-d knows that answer.

I can, however, continue to wish you and your family blessings and love and maybe I will be that 10 year old girl my Bubby brought me to see in the movies and was lucky enough to meet a real live STAR!

Mazel Tov in all that you do and to all of your family.....Carmela (Hebrew name)

Barbra my life dream would be to see you sing in person, I love hearing you sing. I love your movies and my very first movie was Funny Girl when I was 16 years old.
However I have had a trip planned for over a year with my husband to go to Hawaii for our 30th wedding anniversary with my daughters in laws also celebrating their 30th. I can't make the concert on the 14th of June, but I guess I will be there in spirit. My husband just got back from Afghanistan and he really needs this trip to Hawaii. If ever another chance comes around to hear you sing I would love to be there.
If you are in San Diego sometime I would really love to meet you and your husband.
Thank you

To see you, Barbara, and all the others mentioned above would be, for me, an incredibly awesome and priceless experience. During the years you didn't perform due to stage jitters (I'm sure there's a better word for it -- just escapes me at the moment), I hoped & prayed you'd finally have the ability to come out of your shell. And then it happened but, due to circumstances in my life, I couldn't attend. In fact, it wasn't possible to attend any of your performances.

I've written on a few occasions hoping you'd see my correspondence and, as a result, perhaps assist me with my dream. It's more than likely you never saw those letters/emails ... that's okay ... as my Mom would say, "it wasn't meant to be".

I wish I had a mountain of money for I would donate to this very important cause but a daughter in college and everything else that accompanies daily life makes that "wish" an impossiblity.

Cheers to you and all that you stand for ... I've have been a fan since Funny Girl and my admiration has never waivered. Even after all these years, your voice, or the glimpse of a movie can bring a smile to my face even at the worst of times.

Thank you for making this a better world ...

My best to you ....

J

This would be a dream of a lifetime! But the bid is now over $50,000 and while I admire Ms Striesand in particular for her tenacity and awareness - and President Clinton and Barbra for their views of how we can get to and make a better future for everyone, I am afraid that Andy has a great idea to make it available on DVD. I realize that this could invade privacy etc,but what a terrific idea for more funds to Cedars. Like the Crowdrise fund raiser lots of people could help with their great work!
Hope it is a wonderful event!!

Forever Always Near
You are forever always near and dear to my heart. The sweetest sound I ever heard are the notes emitted from your throat. You hang a string of lights around my heart, and have given me some of the happiest moments of my life.
It would be a privilege to meet the Clintons, and even a greater honor to be in your presence. What a DREAM come true for an emmigrant from the island of Jamaica, who also attended Erasmus Hall, 63-66.You provided for me a source of comfort for a teenager who had a difficult time acclimating to her new sourroundings.I found refuge in your voice and lyrics.
You once chose me to be in The Concert video (for which I was euphorically happy),yes I'm that dreadlocked sister who turns up at most of your events, even outside the Village Vanguard along with those less fortunate fans.
I sincerely pray that God blesses me with the opportunity of a liftime........Barbra Streisand and The Clintons!!!!!!!!!

I have loved your music forever. I met you years ago when i was in a Jon Peters film being filmed in SF. Bill and Hillary are also my favorite. I was a huge Hillary supporter in 2008 as well as a delegate. I was also one of the Hillary 300. I would so love to have my picture with You and President Clinton. Pick me please!!!

IN memory of my late mother in law(Sonny Vineberg) bless her soul....i am doing this for her...she loved you!! ( not that i do not or my husband does not love you!!) ...she would of been beside herself if she could attend so i will take her place:)
Michelle Vineberg

As a young black male raised in a christian home, no R&B no music but church music was played , but Barbra Striesand's Hello Dolly came on and my mother said okay you can watch, next I saw "For Pete's Sake" I was then able to purchase an "album " from Columbia Records wow Barbra was bigger than life, my first purchase was "People", then "Stoney End" I have never been to a Streisand concert I've only been blessed to watch her on TV... my dream has always been to speak to Barbra and thank her for all the love through her music.....and movies What's Up Doc???????????

Love you,

Barbara is one of the most amazing women of our time she has managed to be quietly influential in making many things happen in our world without making things about Barbara. She is a real lady and THE MOST AMAZING SONGSTRESS I HAVE EVER HEARD.
Hats off to Lady Barbara!

Ms. Streisand,

I'm not requesting tickets to attend your performance, as I wouldn't be able to attend. I am writing to let you know that I saw "The Owl and the Pussycat" for the first time a few nights ago, and I don't know how I haven't seen it before.

I am a married man, (26 years), that has always greatly admired your voice, and also appreciate your acting. I haven't ever written a celebrity, and don't care much for people that do. Autograph seekers seem to me to be among the bottom dwellers of society.

I am a blue-collar worker, currently working a nightshift, and saw the "Owl and the Pussycat" after work recently, which is why I am writing this so late. While I have always enjoyed your voice, wonderful as it is, and have enjoyed many of your acting roles, I was quite surprised at your role in this film. You were, and probably still are, gorgeous! I was surprised that such a talented Lady could look so good on film.

No dis-respect to you, or Mr. Brolin, but as I would have said in the 70's and said to myself when I saw this film, you were smokin' hot. Ladies with the talent that you have shouldn't be also blessed with legs like yours.

I realize that you probably will never see this message, but to any of your assistants or staff that screen these things, no response is necessary. I saw a lovely Lady on TV that I admire, and wanted to comment on that.

Sincerely,

Kris C. Kuykendall

If they're smart -- and Barbra Joan Streisand is nothing if not brilliant -- they will film/video this event and release a DVD so they can raise even more money for Cedars.

Having been an inpatient at Cedars-Sinai no fewer than NINE times in the last three years, I deeply appreciate Barbra's tremendous support of this outstanding hospital.

Just a thought -- regarding the "and other surprises" -- perhaps the Divine Miss M could be one of those surprises????? This would be a perfect opportunity for my top two favorite divas to FINALLY perform together, yes??????????

Oh how I would love to go to this event. Not only to meet with Barbara and the President but also because of a great cause. To bad only the rich get to go. I went on and looked at the auction. It's at 40k. Come on guys. Give the little people a chance.

If I had $40,000 + to donate, I would---at least we can trust Barbra and Bill to use the money wisely! They are the most unique, common-sense individuals around today. We are all blessed to have them.

I have been a Barbara fan forever. Meeting her would be such a thrill. I sincerely wish Bill Clinton could be our President again. Our economy needs him! Meeting him would be a dream come true. I believe sitting and talking would be a comfortable situation, that is the way he comes across from afar.

Suffer from breast cancer, it was supposed to be an easy cure caught early. But not so spread to skin then mastectomy and more chemo and radiation. Then spread to bone, six months later more bone involvement, treatment failed again, back on chemo.

This would be on my bucket list if I could even dream it was possible.

A few words, not beatifully written, just the truth.

Barbara makes the world magic and liveable. President Clinton made the world tolerable.

A dream is a dream. Dreams can be real, right?.
I'm from Mexico, I grow up listening the great voice of this angel. When I feel bad I just listen her voice and all seems be diferent, I can feel the lyrics 'cause she not only open the mouth and sings, no, she feels them, she lives every one of them and I have to thank her for the beutiful motions that shake my body but mainly my heart.

Now a days there are not SINGERS, perhaps a lot of people just open the mouth without rithm, they only sing for sing or also for money, without heart, you know what a mean?. But Mrs. Barbra goes far far away from that, she is more than that, she is the voice of an angel. Her voice can go everywhere she wants to, she does not need to eat a microphone to be heared, her voice is clear and really beautiful, it's a gift.

One voice, one heart, an angel on earth. Please keep the music playing, for the way we were, people need voices like yours MRS. Barbra Streisand.

My best regards (from Mexico)
Mónica

WOW! How amazing it would be to be present at this event. Two of my heroes; Barbra and Clinton! For a liberal Dem like myself, that's simply "Nirvana"- and to have a photo too? It's too much for my heart!

Barbra could you have another way for people who love you and your music have a chance to enjoy your event who do not have that kind of money to bid on this. I've love your music for years. i adore everything about you. If i had money i would bid.

My name is Cindy Poat. I am a mother of two, Matthew, 14, and Leah, 8. I adopted Leah from China. I have 8 types of arthritis and am on permanent disability. I live in a small community called Ledbetter, just outside of Paducah, Ky. I volunteer as the Academic Team Coach at my children's school. I love to bake and cook and have catered small events on occassion. I have been a fan of Ms. Streisand's since I was a teen. I would love to have the opportunity to see her perform. My favorite movie is "What's Up, Doc"?, but I have loved all of her movies.

A DREAM COME TRUE!!! I am saying my prayers right now to be part of such a spectacular event.. Is it just me or can I invite my brother Geno? You would love him too! We are American Italian from Boston originally, kind, gracious, funny and loving people. Me? I am living the dream here in LALA Land 16 years now, still got the accent though. My bro, Geno and I have been fans since 1963 and next year if our 50th Anniversary of enjoying all your GREAT work. Also Thank You for the GREAT Service you do in helping those less fortunate..
