Dear Barbra,
A year older than you and I am astonished with your accomplishments. Your constant yearning to grow in understanding Life and to bring happiness to others is truly admirable.
One lesson I have learned is that things I have collected have never amounted to more than trophies. The essence is of people, just as you have pointed out in your interviews.
My professor is 101 years old, Jewish and extremely kind. He lives in Palo Alto, a Camelot. I wish you could meet him and enjoy the wisdom he has shared with me.
I just love this lady. Such grace and talent! I love the fact that she is a Brooklyn native as myself. I was so glad to hear of her return last week to Brooklyn's Barkley Theatre, I was I was there to hear her sing.
I wish her nothing but the best for what she decides to do as a comeback!
Oh my gosh, I'm thrilled to be in the same venue with Barbra. She is my all time favorite singer. I have a Funny Girl album cover that I would love for Barbra to autograph if that is possible. Please let me know if I have any chance at this. Thank you so much, and my daughter and I cannot wait to see and hear Barbra in concert.
I often wonder if Barbra reads these comments. Well, Barbra, if you do, I just have to say hearing Willow Weep For Me sent me back to 1965 when I first saw you in My Name is Barbra and sat watching, a transfixed 12 year old, with goosebumps knowing even at that age, I'd just witnessed something VERY special. What a beautifully done song Willow is. I can't wait for the album's release next Tuesday! So many songs, so many years (yikes, I'm not 12 anymore!) and still so much more to anticipate from you. Thank you for years of pleasure.....................Martin
