Barbra do you think you could possibly donate a wig to me of yours please?
I realize this is alot to ask, but I cannot afford the auctions and I am in need of it to perform songs of yours at a gala supporting the NO KILL CHICAGO act here in July...
ALL proceeds go to the oncoming daily dogs that enter the facility and their needs all of their needs no matter what they are, besides a warm bed, love and food.
Famous Fido's Rescue and Adoption Alliance has been in business for over 30 years and is celebrating this event in May and I am the entertainer for that event as well, but the one in July where I would need the wig is for the Gay community show and I know they would love this and I am happy to say that I DONATE myself to the cause...I do not ask for any pay for my entertaining for any of these events as I believe NO KILL is the only way in every state...There are so many people that would have loved to rescue a dog and instead these shelters just euthanize them before even trying to give them the love they so rightfully deserve.
I know again this is alot to ask, but I am paying for a gown already to wear for this event so a wig would be most helpful as a gown was easier to find that a wig that resembles your beauty in any of your roles...Please consider this...I understand if you do not.
By the way, I was the winner on the Oprah show that got to come see you in 2003. I was in the second row...you smiled at me as you sang the song "Smile" and that was the day you got your puppy...I was so happy for you as I know how it pains one to lose it's four legged love of their life. I am also on Oprah's video of that show! I was so happy to be able to bring my mom to that show with me, as she has shared my love for you since I was a young girl....and she just passed away in November and I am grateful that she was able to enjoy that moment with me! Oprah's who crew came to our house bearing a big ticket to see you, two dozen roses and a CAMERA CREW that unfortunately got me one day after I returned home from the hospital!! (I have Myasthenia Gravis) Anyway...Thank you for all that you do for others and thank you for a voice that inspired me to sing...

Congratulations on having the highest bid "bunny"! Your name equals gold on all you touch. This was a very special highlight to a charity that gets less attention than most. I'm sure all who have autism in their family appreciate your kindness. You are the GREATEST!

Barbra, I just want to thank you for doing this for Autism Speaks. I know I am one in millions who have Autism in my family, but, having a grandchild with Autism, and you being my most favorite singer ever, just really filled my heart. My mother just passed away, and she was an avid fan of yours. She brought you to me and my siblings when we were very young. At her memorial, we just had to mention that the movie we found in her DVD player at her death was "Funny Girl." I can't tell you how many times I watched this movie with her, and had to listen to her cry at the end when you sang, "Oh, my man I love him so!" Anyway, I know you give to so many charities, which I thank you for also, but since this one hit home, I want to just say, "thanks."

Just looked at the celebrity bunny auction current bid amounts - no other celebrity is even close to $1,000 except Barbra who has surpassed at $1,200. Most have bids of $50-100. Interesting. BTW I love lindt chocolate!!

Barbra,
did you know that you are in the lead at $1025, with still 7 more days to go!!

p.s. I wish we could comment on some of those political articles- I am so sick of this attack on women- they are trying to take us back to the stoneage, I swear.
But did you know that Viagra is covered under employer health insurance but they want to cut women's contraceptives? Isn't that Rich?

Such a great cause to support. Barbra's bunny may be above my means, but I'll try to get one of them. If not, I'll just buy some chocolate for the Easter holiday.
