Re: Barbra to Introduce President Bill Clinton at Public Counsel's Annual Event Celebrating 40 Years of Service for American Families, Youth and Veterans
We need to 'raise the bar' in who leads the liberal and progressive agenda.
I'm sorry, Ms. Streisand, but, especially after the Anthony Weiner incident, we can't afford the idolizing of people like Bill Clinton.
Yes, I know, the Republicans have their share of morally reprehensible people, but liberals and progressives need to take the 'high road' if we are going to keep the White House in '12, not to speak of a majority in Congress.
Obama is vulnerable, and the current Republican field has some of the most hard-core rightist extremists this country since the '50s.
We need to keep them out of power as much as possible.
Giving Bill Clinton awards and promoting him as an ideal leader for liberals/progressive gives the Republicans an advantage.

Miss Streisand you may never read or hear of this post, but I have to share my feelings about you. I am a 40 year american male. I have been drawn to the angelic sounds of your singing since i was at least 5 years of age. I havent always agreed with your political views but i do respect your opinions as a fellow american and i also think that we all should be open to each others ideas to come together for real benefits towards all the earth and its inhabitants. With that said, i believe without any doubt, that you are the greatest female singer and performer that has ever been or possibly ever will be on the face of this world. I am currently introducing your music to my 12 yr and 15 yr daughters as well. Not to sound like a stalker or madman, for i have never written any famous persons before, miss streisand i would pay any monetary price for just one time to hear you perform live. Even if i had to sit in the farthest position from the stage. When i hear your songs, i experience a deepened inward peace that i could never explain in any other way. May all your days and nights be in joy and happiness. Thank you for being.

Good evening my dear Barbra. Just a note to see if perhaps you have considered adding "Something New In My Life" to your upcoming 'Bergman' album that you're working on now? It is a beautiful and magical song often over-looked. I can only imagine your interpretation of this little gem - in fact, I believe that this song might speak to you deeply, and in turn, to us.
All my love,

Ms Streisand,
As lifelong fans of yours, my boyfriend and I were beside ourselves with excitement when it was announced you would be doing "Gypsy". Today when we heard that Sondheim nixed it we were ready to charge down the streets in an anti-Sondheim protest! We found the reasoning in his public statement to be rather close to bulls***, and one would think any composer would jump at the chance to have you interpret one of their roles.
However you may be feeling about this, please know that two of your fans are terribly dissappointed. Now this just means you need to do a film version of Webber's "Sunset Blvd."
Supporting you from NYC

We need you! This Saturday, March 12, at noon, there will be a gigantic rally at the Capitol building in Madison, WI to protest the horrendous bills our Gov. Scott Walker has proposed. In them he repeatedly and handsomely rewards his donors, and hurts all the rest of us here in WI. He is a literal dictator who is hoping to get a VP spot on the Republican ticket. He must be stopped. If you know anyone who would like to perform or appear or speak, we would be so happy to have them. You would be best, but that would be way tooo miraculous!!! Love you and your efforts, Barbra!
