The unfortunate level of antisemitism of some of the participants. These people should be aware that Judaism is the original 'Occupy Wall Street' movement:
We, who had ancestors led by Moshe Rabbaneu (Moses) against Pharaoh, were the original 99% taking on the 1%. That is the very root Buy Backlinks, the 'genesis' of Jewish liberal activism, and, I dare say, of liberal activism in general.

I hope you'll forgive me for posting this here, but I wanted to comment on the article posted here, entitled-'Framing A Memo For Wall Street', and I couldn't find anywhere else to do it.

There's a great thing about this movement: It's a call for liberals and progressives to return to their populist roots.

Over the last few decades, some 'mainstream' liberals have become too much like the Republicans on some important economic matters, and this movement might pull some people back to where we are supposed to be.

But there is one thing that has been occuring with it that is troublesome:

The unfortunate level of antisemitism of some of the participants.

These people should be aware that Judaism is the original 'Occupy Wall Street' movement:

We, who had ancestors led by Moshe Rabbaneu (Moses) against Pharaoh, were the original 99% taking on the 1%.

That is the very root, the 'genesis' of Jewish liberal activism, and, I dare say, of liberal activism in general.

There is a term frequented amongst observant Jews that is appropo here: Teshuvah; to return to what made one good in the first place.

This movement should be both 'pro-Jewish' and pro social justice, not one versus the other.

This movement could bring liberal Democrats back to where they are supposed to be, and-

reconcile many Jews to their G-d;-

not one versus the other.

I hope that some of the people prone to antisemitism stop using this movement as a sounding board for their unfortunate, misinformed, views; letting the positive potential of this movement come forth instead.

And Ms. Streisand, I leave you in peace to continue sitting shiva for your friend, Ms. Mengers (shalom).
