Barbra....

Several years ago after your concert on TV you played a teleprompter showing the names of well known and some not so well known Jews and their accomplishments. I would like to have that list, please, if you can supply me or where can I go to get it?
Please and thank you!!!

The Streisand Way
Always True
Always Herself
Always Singing through Life

I was driving to work recently and out of nowhere Barbra Streisand popped into my mind.
I began thinking of how her singing has affected me.
Then I remembered that the same thing happened to me about thirty years before.
It made no sense then and it made no sense now.
I wondered if she knew how she has affected me and the world.
I could not understand why this was happening to me…why I was even thinking about this. I remembered thinking and wishing that I had written down what I thought about her years ago and I regretted not doing it.
Because of this, I found myself pulling over to the side of the I-80 highway, putting my car in park and starting to write.
As I was writing, I was thinking of why I was doing this and what good it would do. Then I thought…What the hell is the difference? She’s worth just thinking about because with every thought of her comes the sound of her voice.
And so in my mind I began saying this to her:
On a cloudy day your voice kisses the clouds and makes them open, revealing the sun. While you share with the world sounds that only you can create, the sounds of a choir which makes the Universe rejoice come out from the same clouds. I have enjoyed the beauty of your singing which comes from the bottom of your soul and from the depth of your heart. I want to thank you for sharing your love of your art and the experiences of your life with me and the world.
Days have passed and I have not mailed this to anyone because I am doing what I usually do: Think about it, write about it and forget about it.
But about a week after your seventieth birthday I was watching television and I saw and heard you singing in your concert. Now I have plans to see your new movie.
Because of this I made up my mind and said to myself, Oh hell no. You’re not just going to forget this time. Barbra is just too great at what she does for me not to share the affect that she has had on me off and on through the years.
So here it is.
With great admiration I thank you for so many years of listening pleasure and I am waiting to see you on the big screen.

Hi Barbara,
This might sound weird, I assure you it's not. I hope you actually read comments fans post.
I just want to say that I have been a fan most of my life. My great-grandma was a seamstress for Hollywood enterprises and made the dresses for you, for the movie funny girl. I also have a memory of one time that I believe was you. I can't remember for sure. I'm hoping you might be able to help me with that....I hope you read this and mabe you can help me feel in the details.

Thanks,
Andrea

all the best with your new film... jj.

Hi Barbara, Just watched you and Seth on the Dr. Phil show talking about your movie, The Guilt Trip. When you spoke about the unique relationship between mothers and sons, I had tears just streaming down my face. You hit the nail right on the head for me and it was so "soothing" to me to know that other mothers experience the same feelings as I do with my son. Thanks for sharing and I am SO excited to see this movie! Been in your corner for many years. Love you!! Lori
