The Third Album is one of my personal favorites because of its clarity of purpose and mood. I put this album on when I come home from work. I light up a cigar, pour a glass of brandy, and "...hear those trumpets blow again, all aglow again, taking a chance..."

On this particular piece of work, Streisand and Peter Matz set the mood for a reclusive night of what-ifs, could-have-beens, and deep self-reflection. I believe this work to go hand-in-hand with her first two albums, the Movie Album, and Love Is the Answer. Perfection, indeed!
