What is genius? I think it's completely intuitive. A genius isn't someone who learns how to paint, but someone who has got it from the start and never looses it. In that case, Miss Streisand's work on this album surely defines her as a genius.

"Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home," "Right As the Rain," "Down With Love," "Who Will Buy?" "When the Sun Comes Out," "My Coloring Book," "Lover, Come Back to Me," and "Like a Straw in the Wind" are some of her greatest works of intuition on record. This certainly must be one of her finest vocal representations ever captured. Thank God it's only a glimpse of her future to come. Here, her voice sounds like a fine-tuned violin. Her phrasing is perfect. There's not a single mis-step on this album. Brava!
