offending songs

That's so cute that Barbra doesn't want to offend the songs. I've noticed that whenever she's asked what genre or style of music she prefers or what songs she sang she likes, she usually demures. At least the songwriters, musicians, arrangers and listening public don't get offended if she doesn't like their choices or work. Or if she favors one style over the other. Natalie Cole's website used to get people writing her and asking her to go back to the pop 1970s style they were used to and to leave the jazz and standards style she's stayed with since "Unforgettable". I wonder if Barbra gets a lot of people asking her to go back to the rock/disco part of her career.

I am so excited that Barbra has a book coming out in November. I wish it was now since it is beach weather, which is a perfect time to read another book.
In my opinion, Barbra is a true Taurean. Her love and appreciation for beautiful things is intriguing. The fact that her favorite color is burgundy,( an earth tone), reflects her continuous insight of finding and incorporating soothing and calming effects in her surroundings.
Last night I rewatched her interview with James Lipton. Barbara's passion for the Power of Human Spirit is so moving which makes her one of the most sensitive, compassionate and brilliant persons that inhibit this planet.
It is no wonder that she has millions of fans. Barbra is a pleasure to listen to not only musically, but when she speaks whether verbally, or through her political writings. The world needs more people like her.
