OMG

I just watched your concert on TV in Australia. You are perfect. I am inspired by your voice. It is always perfect. I thank God I was born in the same lifetime as you were so I can experience your voice. I am in awe.

Have just watched this show and it was marvellous - Barbra Streisand is one of the few really talented people in the world who is down to earth and a real person! I have been a fan since the sixties and Funny Girl is one of my favourite movies of all time with some of the best songs ever in a musical. When I listened to 'IF GO AWAY' I got goosebumps it was so beautiful. She is such a star and still very beautiful - well done bbc and Wossy!.

I'm 25 and, although I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Way We Were I must confess to not having seen many of Barbra's other offerings. That will change after watching the Wossy interview on bbc iplayer this evening!

She was so natural, warm and real. Excellent show, well done Jonathan for a great interview and for bringing Barbra to a new generation....

I'm re-watching The Way We Were for the 2nd time this month(!) tomorrow I guess....

A true star, who really seems to deserve and appreciate all that she has.

Well what can I say ??
I would like to be honest, on Friday night when this program was first aired I wasn't interested in watching it due to having no interest in 'Barbara Streisand' whoop de whooo !
Tonight I watched the program simply because I like Jonathan Ross and his silly humour and nothing else was on !
What a SUPRISE !!
Barbara you are simply amazing !!!!
you are down to earth, unintimidating, and unassuming ! a proper woman ! u r intelligent funny and amazing to look at !
you are a true inspiration, best of luck forever you deserve all you have and could ever have

She was simply brilliant!

Just to say that I really enjoyed watching this interview. I am so glad that Michael Parkinson has retired & Jonathan Ross was given the opportunity to chat with this very talented lady. It has inspired me to watch some of her films again.

I have been told on a couple of occasions that I look like Barbra Streisand - if only I had her talent!

i thought it was a wonderful interview, barbra seemed very relaxed (you can sing like that with no practise...thats what you call a God given voice). and I loved how she spoke about most of her films, especially her thoughts about lesser known films like all night long and for petes sake ( i have always wondered what she thought of all night long, it is such an odd film)...what i loved was the pics of the dongs as dolly, esther hoffmans ands yentl, that was hilarious. i think that jonathan ross did a great job and proved himself as a superb host and interviewer, he mixed humour, fact and opinion which barbra seemed to appreciate and respect enough to be honest. I also loved the attention my favourite film a star is born received, because that is nnot spoken of as much..maybe some more chat about the music would have been great...BUT SHE SANG!!!! and thats what was the showstopper, i wish i was there, i would have been cheering as loudly as i could muster. (sorry for lazy typing, i have a new laptop so im still working it out!!)

It was nice to see you in the flesh after a lifetime (mine) of celluloid Streisand, and see that you were not the up your own bottom diva often envisaged - not helped by the Dietrich like privacy I guess. Shame Jonathan couldn't keep his runaway mouth shut for longer, apologies, he has yet to understand the art of interviewing also lies in letting people who are quieter like youself the time to actually speak! I felt the one golden opportunity to know the personal views of a longtime great performer were a little marred by his gushing vocals Smiling Nice to see you are happy in life, long may it continue..Ameen

Still the star, still the ultimate professional and still got class.

I enjoyed every minute of this interview as it showed the real human side of Barbra. It was fun, uplifting and inspirational.I wish I had been able to go to the Village Vanguard but great to see the clips on this web site.Thank You Barbra Adrian West Sussex UK

I have just watched this interview. I am quite astonished by it. Barbra is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot believe that she is creeping up on the big seven-o.
I have never been a big fan but I certainly am now. What a wonderfully down to earth, lovely, lively, funny and delightful lady.
I'm gonna keep this interview on my sky+ for a long time. She is fantastic.

What a really lovely lady, really enjoyed the interview with Jonathan Ross last night and if I could sing like that with no practice WOW ..... Deb (Dereham, Norfolk UK)

Barbra,

You have made me so happy over the years with your films, your music, simply the wonderful person that you are. I saw you at the O2 in London in 2007 and cried the whole show. You have shaped my life for sure. Evergreen especially has a special place in my heart as it was played for our first dance at our wedding last year! Your interview with Jonathan proved once again what a genuine, kind, caring and honest lady you are. I hope one day you will decide to make a film of your life story, or even a book. You deserve every happiness in life as you have given so much happiness to so many people. Jonathan Ross is the luckiest host to have interviewed you, thankyou for coming to the UK x x

I just watched the interview with Jonathan Ross and found it wonderful. I have seen Barbra several times in concert and have been a fan for many years. I would just like to say that a couple of years ago when she was performing in London I was staying at the same hotel as her. I had read in the press that she had made all these demands at the hotel and she had her own entrance and people weren't aloud to look her in the eyes. What absolute nonsense, when she came back after the concert I was standing outside on my cell phone, she got out of the people carrier with her husband and assistant and she was very softly spoken and thanked the driver and the doorman then walked in and used the MAIN lift to go back to her room. I got talking to her manager Marty and asked if there was any chance that I could get an autograph, he immediately said that he would leave it with the concierge the next day and true to his word the next day I was left a signed tour program that Barbra had also personalised to my partner and I. Please don't always believe what you read in the press because in my experience Barbra appeared very humble and a really shy lady.
A great show and a great album from a great lady.

I watched this with my 2 children aged 10 and 11, after complaining about it they watched intensly and then when Barbra sang they sat in complete silence as she captivated them the way she captivated me when I was their age. Thank you Barbra.

Just watched you, Miss Streisand, and you blew me away. Just like you did the first time I heard Stoney End. It's hard to explain how you made me feel. Please keep doing it, there's no one better to tell it like it is!
All the love in the world

What a great night, it was a fantastic interview. Barbara just told it the way it is, such an honest and genuine person. I was glued to the tv for the full hour and I wished it was longer. I have been a fan for years and this interview proved what a great entertainer she is and a worthy award winner.
Thanks for coming to the UK Barbara.

I have always avoided Wossy like the plague - but tonight - I forgive him almost eveything (except the dogs!) Just confirms how wonderful she is - how goo does she look, how good does she sound - he should be on his knees for the rest of his life to have been so honoured! FANTASTIC

I'm still coming down from a high.
My chair couldn't have got closer to the television.
The most beautiful lady.
I'll pre order the book, Barbra....go on do it! I know it's not your way but we'll enjoy it, if you write it not, someone who thinks they know you. Let it be your words.

And oh what a shame you can't go for a walk with your dog, Samantha.

Did you enjoy your time with Jonathan Ross? Not my favourite gentleman but gone up in my mind tonight...he was in awe of you!! And so he should.

God Bless You

Found the right area of the site - eventually. 2 glasses of wine don't help. barbara had a big impact on my teenage years. I thought she would have lost some of her charismatic charm, but it was all still there in abundance. I honestly can't believe some of the reports you hear about her diva demands. They don't match the personality that comes through in her words and haunting songs. Brilliant!

What a wonderful hour, although I didn't doubt it wouldn't be!! Barbra as just proved what a lovely, unassuming, happy and non-diva she is. A huge treat for her fans, which I am.
Jonathan Ross (Wossy) did a great job and it was thoroughly enjoyable, although I have
loved it to have gone on for at least another hour - too short!!!
Barbra I hope you do write your autobiography, there are millions of people who would love to read about you.
I would also love to have been able to buy one of your personally owned items which are being sold in auction soon, unfortunately I think everything may be out of my price range, but I hope it goes well and you will no doubt raise a lot of money for your wonderful charities.
Congratulations and with love and best wishes!
Gillian

what a lovely interview and what an amazing voice such a genuine and wonderful person shame you can't go to the beach without being papped tho shame on them !

What a wonderful interview! Barbara, can't believe you're 67 - your interview has made me realise that age must be just a figment of the imagination

What a rare treat for us in the UK. I saw her in the O2 arena in 2007 and she absolutely wiped me out.

Let's hope Rossy treats her with the respect she truly deserves. Go for it Barbra!

Like I said before and I agree with you guys I just hope that Ross treated this special lady with the grace and decorum she deserves. The proof will be in the viewing.I can't wait front row seat in my sitting room.It will be sensational!!!!!

OMG ! I am so looking forward to this. It won't compare to seeing her live at the O2 two years ago, but is a wonderful treat.

Come back to the UK and do some more live shows please Barbara !!!!!!!

So looking forward to this and so hope that Jonathan Ross has a career defining moment and treats this occasion with all the respect it deserves. The public is divided as it is but if he mucks up his time with Ms Streisand he'll have an even greater number after his head.
This is for all of us who's commitments have not enabled us to see you live - no matter how they wish they had.

FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC NEWS What a treat for Barbra's Fans here in the UK, I don't know how the BBC got her to agree to this but it is the best news I have heard all year. Please don't let Johnathan Ross mess it up !!!!

As we here in the UK were not allowed to bid for her tickets to the New York Concert I will gladly accept this as second best.

I am awaiting the delivery of her new Double Album "Love is the Answer" this week, which I pre ordered as soon as Amazon announced that it would be available for us this week 29/9/09.

Can't wait for your appearance Barbra, and Oct 2 is my friends birthday so I know she will be glued to the programme too.

Thanks Barbra and BBC TV.

Regards
Ladybird

Fantastic news for her UK fans...any advice on how one obtains a ticket?
