FOR INTERNATIONAL RELEASE OCTOBER 25

Following powerful sales of Barbra Streisand’s most recent album, “Love Is The Answer,” a number one hit in both the U.S. and the United Kingdom and with high rankings in virtually all other countries, Sony will release “Barbra – The Ultimate Collection” for international release October 25. In September 2009, Barbra sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about her new album.

In a rare interview, Barbra talked about her 63rd album 'Love Is The Answer', which went to #1 on the UK album charts. Barbra also talks about what it was like as a child growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Barbra says she shared a small apartment with her family. "I grew up in Williamsburg until I was 7, and that was a $40-a-month apartment," she says. "I lived in one room with my mother, in the same bed, and my brother had a foldaway cot in the same room."Read more »

Barbra Streisand and other music stars have re-recorded the 1985 charity hit We Are the World to raise money for Haiti.
