She's been eclipsed by a generation of newfangled power divas, but Babs still has it--superior repertoire in the Tin Pan Alley tradition, deep-pile production from the likes of Foster, Mardin and Afanasieff, and those zillion dollar pipes. Cuddlesome James Brolin gets a credit "for giving me the love I sing about" on tunes like "Leading with Your Heart," while the title track, "At the Same Time," and "Everything Must Change" could one day be used in a Broadway musical about pre-millennial spirituality. -- Jeff Bateman

Dear. Barbra

Hello. I just want to say I really like this cd. I especially love the song "On Holy Ground" I have sung in my church choir at two different churches over the years never been able to bring myself to sing in front of or away from the choir but, if I were to get over nerves I would definitely sing On Holy Ground. Simply love that song. Thank you do Mich for going that song. I have sang it when I'm alone at home or even in the car driving. God Bless you! I would like to add something else. I have always wanted to Thank You for suggesting Elvis to be in A Star Is Born! I know that it didn't happen. But, I think that it made a difference to him that you wanted him for that movie. That showed him that you did see him as someone capable of playing that role. I know he would.have Bern great in it. Now its just what could have been. He would have been a great person to sing On Holy Ground too. Please let your husband Mr. James Brolin know that I for one songt read trash. I learned early in life about trash tabloids. I am not sure if you read these or not, however I just wanted you to know that a friend sent me an email with your album " Higher Ground". I love the song "Holy Ground" that you sing. There is a divne connetion when you sing this song. The Avinu
prayer that you also sing is inspiring. There is a 'New" book out called "The Prayer Of Our Fathers". http://www.aprayertoourfather.com/learn-the-avinu-prayer-in-hebrew/ here is the link to it if you so choose. I have not followed you through the years, it was only when in August 2010, that there was a divine encounter with the song "Somewhere" which I had never heard of before...I know...I am probably the only on the planet that has not heard this song before-I had to google you and this song...I just want to add a thank you for your calling to help with womens issues- my mother had a triple by-pass 22 years ago, and is now 84.
