Barbra Streisand is an inspiration to millions of adoring fans from around the world, but I'd like to know how this amazing woman has inspired you personally. Barbra has inspired me in many ways:
1.Barbra has taught me the meaning of the word: determination. I am a 16 year old aspiring to be a concert pianist. It is very hard work and I have to practice hours every day. I also have to take it in stride when I don't get first place in a big competition. As a teenager Barbra experienced similar setbacks. She was told by many people that she would never make it, that she wasn't good enough, but she NEVER gave up! She perservered! She saw herself as a star and her determination and hard work made her one! So thank you Barbra for teaching me to perservere!
2. Ms. Streisand has also inspired me to dream! She inspired me to dream big dreams, and to invision myself as a Star.
3. Finally, she inspired me not to change my appearance. As a child and teenager, people called her ugly, but Barbra never tried to change herself. She accepted herself for the way she was. I don't have to look like a Hollywood actress to be beautiful! So thank you Barbra for helping me see that!!

I guess to scribble WRITE. Bit ofa long-winded tale but here is one that didn't reach the trash at the waste centre a few months ago. It is about something only a good imagination could dream up - although Ms Streisand's sense of self is very encouraging.... here goes..if you are still with me....

Alright this might go on a while so sorry for my rambling!
1. Barbra has inspired me to sing, yes I know sounds typical. I always enjoyed singing just I never had faith in myself I wanted to be an actress, but now that I've seen her gift it's inspired me to think maybe I have a shot at being not only an actress but also a singer, plus...singing is fun.
2. Barbra has made me think becoming someone big is very possible. I always found myself different than everyone..nobody I could relate to. When I started watching her more such as interviews ect not just films I could relate to her personality that was simaler to mine, habbits also. The talkitiveness, being sorta quirky, not the most gorgoues(Though to me she is!), political views, just simaler thoughts that seem to suprise me(because they're like mine) everytime she gives an opinion.
3. Well, I had already decided to be an actress so that was before I knew of her, but I think that determination to become famous someday and work with her definitaly pushed me much harder.
There's much more and I could be here all day but I know you people don't have all day so I'll cut it short.
P.S. I'm 15. Barbra has fans of all generations!
