Those movies you mentioned were not comedies- It was essential that those characters needed to be thought out, there were serious issues they were dealing with.
I thought "Roz" was nothing like Barbra or Rose. (Roz was kinda "brash" for lack of a better word. Nothing at all like Rose)
I think "For Pete's Sake" was way funnier than "Doc" (even though Doc was funny),
but it was "too cutesie-cutesie". (maybe I need to go watch it again)
"For Pete's Sake" was just way hysterically funny. (Actually, that to me seems like it would be closer to the real Barbra kinda)
Wasn't "Doc" the movie with all the suitcases? ( I couldn't keep up, I don't want to concentrate that hard with a comedy)
But I think MMC is going to be great, I can't wait! I still think Barbra is the best director, and I can't wait till she gets into the director's chair again!
I disagree. I think she does know what's funny, and she knows what she's doing. She directed Mimi Rogers, and in an interview Mimi said "She said faster, funnier, faster, funnier. And she was right about that." <-just one example. I do think that she has fabulous comic timing, and this movie will probably blow Little Fockers out of the water. (: I love when she's a main role. <3

I've been checking the internet and certain websites for updates about My mothers curse and there are a lot of pictures of her and seth rogen. I looks pretty funny by the look of the scenes and costumes and especially some of the facial expressions. i cannot wait until it comes out in March 2012! i'll be at the movie theatre everyday its playing!!! i'll be saving my money to go see it. i can't wait! and when she does Gypsy i will be first in line! my parents and some of my parents friends keep telling me "oh, you like Barbra? she is sort of done now- like retired. isn't she?" and i'm like NO she's filming a movie right now! plus she wants to direct even more movies later!
i told them off! i can't wait for more of her projects!

Haha. That's funny. The first post WAS removed. I wonder who did that.
Basically the post said "Barbra needs to shut up, and let the director direct HER. It can be a lot funnier if she's directed."

hahaha nice Linda, thats basically what i do. if anybody insults Ms. Streisand, even a little bit, i have to restrain myself not to flip out at them.... or i just completely lose it and attack them
but hey its worth it if your defending a good cause

Hey guys, leave poster #1 alone lol, maybe we misunderstood her. She may be a sagittarius like me. I know we (sagis) can say some effed up stuff sometimes, but USUALLY we don't mean it the way it comes out. Truly, we get misunderstood constantly, but that WAS a little more effed up than even a sag would say. LOL I just dont get why people would take time out of their busy day, log on to a site, then say some jacked up stuff. Why bother? Why intentionally go out of your way to hurt another human being?
