This article got it right on the head. With a majority in both the Senate and House the Democrats showed no spine, no guts, and no results. The Republcans showed they
can criticize, distort, and attack....but not govern.
There is real anger in the land. Much of it is due to the inability of the Democrats to
frame the narrative in understandable terms. Sarah Palin uttered two word---death panel---and framed the health care debate. The Democrats have yet to explain in simple terms what their plan is and how it benefits us.
The facts are clear: 30 million people would have health insurance. 50,000 people who will die this year if they don't get health care will live. Insurance companies will face tough
reforms in the way they do business. They will not be able to deny claims, prevent people with pre-existing conditions from joining, and removing people who get sick from getting health insurance.
I just have a feeling if the Democrats can explain how the GOP lied to us that they will be angry when they see what we lost because of them. We still didn't completely explain how the GOP got us into a war in Iraq when it had nothing to do with the attack on 9/11 and Saddam Hussein was being hampered by sanctions that were working. Iraq was never a threat. It was a lie. One man is telling the truth and getting attention: CONGRESSMAN ALAN GRAYSON FROM FLORIDA. If he can show the rest how to do it.....there might be chance.
