Barbra hatte Sonntagabend bei den 82. jährlichen Academy Awards im Kodak Theater in Los Angeles einen ihrer seltenen öffentlichen Auftritte, als sie den Oscar in der Kategorie ‚Beste Regie‘ an Kathryn Bigelow überreichte.Diese ist somit die erste Frau, die eine Auszeichnung in dieser Kategorie erhalten hat.
