I guess I started an avalanche with the “sour grapes” commentary. Sometimes the written word doesn’t purvey one’s true objective. I am absolutely THRILLED for ALL the winners. I never expected a free trip to NY. That didn’t even cross my mind. I compiled my video for the fans, and in honor of the woman who, since I was a small child, impacted my life with her artistic integrity more than any other human being. My hurt feelings came from the fact that people would email me and say they would go to “see all 91 videos” on the “showusyourstreisand” page and mine didn’t appear.Read more »

Hi all - Although there are no "sour grapes" on my part for not being chosen, my feelings are a bit hurt that I spent over 120 hours on my project, and when I have repeatedly gone to the site from the moment my video posted, and pushed the button to view all 91 submitted, mine has never shown, so my piece hadn't received many views. Trying to be purely objective, and having seen all of the 78 or so that do come up (mine NEVER having been one of them), I do believe that I might have had a very good shot at being in the running for an honorable mention.Read more »

Congratulations to the winners, especially Sobelita, Dina & Punks! I gave it my best, and like all the others who entered, I put a lot of time and love into my video to pay tribute to the woman who we have all admired, and feel honored to have had the opportunity. Both pets are cute as a button, and Sobelita truly outdid himself/herself with all the great shots from the nightclub sequences and in the Manhattan-scapes. Bravo to all, and may your evening at the Vanguard be one you will never forget. - Mike
