Grammy performance

This was the performance I was waiting for! Barbra was so beautiful and classy I absolutely loved the familiar yet new range of the song. I became misty eyed by the sound of her voice. There were others who yelled, sang loudly, wore little to nothing...but Barbra outshone them all. I can't thank you enough for sharing your gift with everyone!
Now if only she would complete that story with Robert Redford! I see Blake Lively as their daughter...

She did great didn't she? As our girl usually does. Wow, I am hurt that she did not get the Grammy though. That's really, really messed up. Here we go again....

I was really disappointed with the whole Grammy's tonight anyway. It started out good, then rapidly declined. Too many special effects, fake synthesized, crazy costumes, puppets, electronic music, and fireworks, and distracting stuff. Not enough real talent.

The disturbing part to me, was that the real talent (Barbra, and a couple of others) looked out of place among the 3 hours of mediocrity. And then, they call the mediocre stuff great?? WTF?

I'm not even sure that they were smart enough to even realize what kind of musical genius was in front of them!

We have really dumbed down and declined in our music IQ as a country. (maybe globally too, I dont know)- really makes me sad.... starting to lose hope things will get better.

The Musicares event was like the real Grammys to me. Lots of talent there; Diana Krall, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and more. Real Artists and musicians. It was a really classy event. All kinds of categories, but done very, very well.

Without Barbra, I wouldnt have had orchestra music, or have heard the beauty of real strings on a violin as a kid, or an Oboe. I got caught by the singing but then the music inbetween totally took me prisoner- like to another dimension. (I know it sounds dramatic, but it inspired me-i'm a passionate person what can I say?) Those things lit a spark in my spirit-the beauty of it all. You can still make contemporary music and interweave great music too-she did it. John Lennon did it. And it inspired love, and wanting to fall in love-not fall in sex, the mystery is gone. With provoking messages, without cussing you out as they did it! I don't get it.

I agree she looked and sounded great. Unlike so many of her contemporaries, she still looks and sounds like herself.

Jawdropping! I wated for her to appear, and the wait was well worth it!

Her performance was fabulous!
And didn't she look stunning, she never runs out of new looks!

Loved her dress and performance, but ADORED her hair! Smiling

The dress was amazing, her voice was spectacular, the orchestra was great, and she was so incredibly beautiful! by far the best performance that night!
