Dear Barbra,
You've given me so much joy and pleasure in your singing talents as well as your acting charisms. They are true blessings from God ~ your God and my God is Our God....
I'm not from your specific generation, I'll be 53 this April 2010. But you're not far off, or rather I'm not, from the mark. I remember looking at your early vinyl albums every Friday evening when I was dragged to McCurdy's ~ our little answer to Macy's or Bloomingdale's. Your beautiful Egyptian eyes enraptured me with cuiousity and warmth.
I'm an odd duck, I suppose, but your beautiful voice, lovely face (Facia Bella!), take me away into the graceful beauty of by-gone days. Likewise, I know what it could be like to lose one's father and be haunted by him in some mystical way. It's likened to a doorway leading to the past, present, and the future. So hard to shake, to give up on the "other" parent who's as equally important to all children as their mother is ~ maybe even moreso for some.
You've been my late sister, Anna Marie, to me all these years. She was born in 09/1954 and passed away shortly after entering this world. Even though I know she's in a much better place than most of us are at times, I still miss her so very much...my "other haunting, dear songbird."
Thank you, Barbra for all the beauty and love you've shared with me and so many of your admirers and devotees. From a spiritual semite, this Catholic boy says to you: Gracia, Singioria Streisand....

Hi Barbara,
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED your outfit. I would love to borrow it for a function I attend annually during the holidays. I wouldn't need to borrow it until Christmas. Let me know and I can send you my address so that you can ship!!! If not, I do understand and will not hold a grudge. I too get funny about lending my clothes out to people I do not know, but I promise I'll take good care of it and I'll ship it back to you when I'm done with it. I promise!!!
