Sadly the almightly dollar continues to reign. Everyone deserves the right to succeed but within rules and regulations where no one is hurt and the kind of damage we are witnessing in the Gulf NEVER happens again, but perhaps I am naive. As I write this reply I know the power of corporations and greed and payoffs and the list goes on and on.
I appreciate your comments and insight Barbra and hope enough people will read your evaluations with the right viewpoint. The incredible mess in the Gulf will take years to clean and while we know what we know it's the big guys that must make a difference. President Obama won't be very popular with regulations but popularity doesn't matter in the face of the exisitng disaster. This is just an example of things to come without new rules and regulations. I am intrigued that other countries already require safeguards before drilling begins with relief wells already in place. An entire ecosystem is destroyed so let's explain it to the Pelicans or just kill them--I think I read that today.
