Lots of Love from Kuwait

Thank you Marvin
Dear Marvin,
What an honor it is to have somebody like the great Barbra Streisand, be the reason for you to be my friend and read my letter. I thank you kindly for taking the time to share my feelings towards this kind, generous, and beautiful lady. Her music definitely eliminates cultural boundaries and have us all come together in unison of peacefulness, serenity, friendship, and love.
Since I received a copy of 'Love is the Answer' around September 25th when it was released a bit earlier in Europe, I could not not listen to the whole album at least once a day. When I'm not listening to her, I find myself humming a tune from one of the album songs.
I was very lucky to get the album with the release dates in Europe and North America, as we get the releases really late here in the Persian Gulf. My paternal aunt was visiting Germany at the time it was released and I warned her not to set foot back in Kuwait before getting me a copy.
I should say congratulations to you and your wife for experiencing the Village Vanguard once in a lifetime event. It must have been an unforgettable evening for the both of you, just as it was for me when I enjoyed Barbra in Toronto on October 20th 2006, when she gave an amazing concert, and she waved back at ME during 'The Way We Were.' I just didn't like IL DIVO, and the Bush Skit could have been replaced with 3 songs by Ms Streisand.
Thank you once again Marvin, and it would be a honor to be able to meet you in person when I come to New York with my future wife to enjoy a Broadway show.
That may be around Christmas 2010 when the Phantom of the Opera sequel 'Love Never Dies' comes to New York.
Till then, you should always remember that 'There's no "yes" in yesterday, and who knows what tomorrow brings or takes away, for as long as your still in the game, you have to play, for laughs, for life, for love.'

Nice letter Kamal
I enjoyed your school project description and you sound like a true fan. Doesn't barbra really have the most loyal fans in the world? She's great!

Lots of Love from Kuwait
Dear Barbra,
I was driving with my 62 year old mother to do some grocery shopping while listening to your album, when she suddenly asked, " Is this Charlotte Church? Her voice has matured and is beautiful!" Just before we left I read your letter saying that you feel young after 5 decades.
I laughed at the coincidence, connecting how young you feel and my mum thinking you were Charlotte Church. Barbra, I've always loved you, your voice, and every single word you utter out of that mouth of gold with great eloquence and articulation.
I don't know if ever you knew that you have loyal fans in Kuwait who loved you since 'Funny Girl.' My father introduced me to you when I was a little child and we were watching Funny Girl on TV in Kuwait. I remember a heated argument between my mum and dad then, with my mother claiming that Omar Sharrif left his wife 'Faten Hamama' for you, while my father was defending you saying that you weren't with him. Then, when your album 'Guilty' came out in the early 80s, all of Kuwait went crazy over 'Woman in Love.' Your cassettes/8 tracks were in every car, and records in every household, or at least those who spoke English and listened to English music at the time.
My favourite film of all time is 'The Mirror has Two Faces' because (unfortunately) there is a lot of Jeff Bridges character in me. I have to watch this film at least once every two months and smile from ear to ear at the resemblance between myself and Gregory Larkin.
Congratulations to all speakers of English around the world for Barbra Streisand. Your music creates English speaking 'Alter Egos' in all of us, who can think & love in English, and appreciate everything good in life.
As an English Literature mature student in Canada, I recently completed a course in English Poetry, and my final project was to compare a pop song with a poem studied during the course. Guess what? I compared 2 of your songs with 2 of Shakespeare's sonnets. My Professor fell in love with my paper, and I'm proud to share with you that I got an 'A'. I want to share with you the fusion I created between Shakespeare's face and yours for the cover page.
Barbra, thank you for being there for me, in my childhood memories with my late father, all the way to Canada during my studies. Also, thank you for the great concert in Toronto on Oct/20th/2006, and thank you for 'Love is the Answer.'
Simply, thank you for being you.
Kamal
